Their bodies collided, a flurry of fur and teeth, as Amani grappled him to the ground, teeth sinking into his neck and ripping away flesh. Jax's agonized howls pierced the air, a testament to the intensity of his injury. Amani, with a menacing growl, spat out the torn flesh, her eyes gleaming with a ferocious hunger. She lunged forward, her jaws snapping dangerously close to Jax, ready to deliver the final blow.

He gently reduced the force of his grip on my jaw, and I could not help but heave a sigh of temporary relief. “Jim, please, don't do this.” I tried to plead, and he rushed to me again, holding me by the jaw, and whispered into my ear.

He’s about to go feral," Damon warned, his voice strained. "No," I replied firmly through our bond. "I need to end this." Josh's eyes flickered with a dangerous glint as he sensed my defiance.
