I said. Everyone's countenance rose in shock.

Carlos said and that had masked a stunned expression from his friend. "Eliminate? How are you going to stop them from ever talking, are you saying you want to kill him? You were just an accidental rapist and not a killer." Jeffery said to his friend plainly. "You have nothing to worry about because I won't kill him," Carlos responded. "You won't kill him but somebody else would carry out the operation for you! It's technically varied but trust me, it's the same thing because it is a crime to kill here." Jeffery reminded them.

“I’ll take my chances.” Blake raised an eyebrow, clearly testing him. Jeff shoved his hands into his pockets and leaned back like he was cool as ever, even though I could tell the nerves were still bubbling underneath. “I’m a good guy,” he said honestly. “No rotten skeletons in the closet.” I snorted softly under my breath. That had to be the cleanest, most polite way anyone had ever described Jefferey. “Besides,” he added quietly, “Esther doesn’t even know any of this yet.”

"If you hadn't egged me on, I wouldn't have done that," Marina screamed. "It was you. You killed Caitlin. You're the murderer." Anthony suddenly laughed, smacking himself. He wasn't holding back. I could see his cheeks swell up red even from a distance. He dropped to his knees. "You're right. I killed the woman who loved me. Her blood's on my hands. I'm a murderer." I rolled my eyes, and he pulled out his wedding ring, which he had taken off since Marina showed up.

“When Jeffery challenged you. I was hiding in your office while you and dad discussed options.” His face falls. “You heard that discussion.” “Every word. You were not going to fight. You were going to step down. I was afraid you would leave us. Then I saw the fight and you were growling and the way you held him by the throat. I’m not a killer.” “You killed today.” “Actually, no, Kendall, Alex and Jacob killed today, I passed judgement and they carried the sentence out.”

She made no attempt to fight them even when the light burst from every corner and she was blindingly ushered into an office. It was Stefan, one of my youngest recruits. He had been a promising kid, fast with a blade and loyal to a fault.
