Adam POV “What the hell did you do?” I yell at Wendy. I did not think she hit Jenna hard but as I caught Jenna before she fell, she was limp in my arms. She was out cold. Holding her brought a lot of sparks my way. Our skin touching was opening a portal of warmth I had never felt before. I did not understand what was happening, but I needed to get her to the hospital. She was smaller than she looked when she was full of life. Her pale skin was perfect. I had never really looked at her beyond what I had heard. She seemed frail in this moment.

“I’ve always loved that story. And I’ve always liked Mr. Hyde better than Dr. Jekyll. Which one do you prefer?” “I’m not going to tell you,” Genie said, yawning. “Now, could we turn off the light and get some sleep? Henry tells me you have a riveting video of one of Dr. Webster's operations to watch tomorrow morning. You might need a few live brain cells if you're going to get anything out of it.” “There's nothing Webster can teach me that I'd want to know,” he scoffed. “What are you and Ann doing tomorrow morning?” “Ann's taking me to do some shopping with her,” she mumbled into the pillow. “She wants to visit the antique shops before we go back to San Francisco after lunch.”

Jenni I looked around the room at my parents and Teddy. It is so strange knowing what I know and not being able to explain any of it correctly. I know that we have to look for the cold ones, and that these particular ones are to be regarded as foes. The question is how do we know which are the foes? Are they all bad? Is there a defining mark or characteristic that will show us who we are looking for? I have so many questions but I cannot come up with any answers.

Nyll nodded. “I am sorry to hear that,” she sincerely apologized. “But do you know where you got this kind of genetic disorder?” Nyll asked. “No, I was only eight when I was sold, my growth hormones must not have been out to show this condition yet. This started to show when I was in my early teenage years,” Jessie answered calmly. He was starting to feel comfortable opening his life’s story to Nyll. In Jessie’s perception, this woman was not showing any signs of judging him poorly.

They all began jumping up and down like they were in a very low budget hip-hop video. “What are you idiots doing?” I screamed. I didn’t know what her plan was, but I had a pretty good hunch it wasn’t a good one. “Stop jumping.” “Keep jumping,” said Jenny. “If we make enough of racket, it won’t be able to tell Kungen’s with us. It’ll attack thinking it’s just a tasty group of people.” How was that a good thing? “Yes, and then it will eat us.” “That’s okay,” said Jenny, “once it realises it has Kungen in its mouth it’ll spit us out again. You saw when it opened its mouth. It doesn’t have any teeth. We’ll be fine.”

Jenna quickly grabbed some pepper spray under her pillow and squirted it on the person standing by her bed. "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaak!" A scream of pain was heard loudly, sending the birds perched on the windows flying high to move. Jenna immediately sat upright and was completely shocked to find Adam roaring in pain from the pepper spray that Jenna had sprayed into his eyes on reflex. "Sorry, I forgot you were next to me!" Jenna squeaked fearfully. Adam still covered his face with his hands as he shouted, "You are crazy!!!!" *****

it whispered, suddenly aware of Eve's spirit. The eyes of the others moved scarcely forward, dropping off and gliding into the sand, and they prepared to attack. When the leader, Sandjinn, squealed as it jerked its tail from behind, something or someone pulled the creatures into the tree out of their sight. Its outcry was cut off in a squeal of injury. One of the surrounding sandjinns jumped out of the sands towards Eve and Henry. However, unexpectedly, Jenna leaped through the air, blocking the Sandjinn. She met the creature with a crunch, and they rolled out to the surface with a considerable bang. Then Jenna stood up triumphantly, her blade leaking with Sandjinn's dark blood.

I flared up, already tired of trying to dodge or ignore them, and I faced their direction with a vengeful expression. “Oh, looks like someone wants to beat us. One against three, is that tears at the rim of your eyes?” They laughed. “Tada! Surprise…” JENNY said in a low but angelic tone, stretching her hands backward, and it kept me on my toes at what stunt she might be up to. “Surprise!” she shoved my wallet up in the air at me, but not letting go. “Like I said, if someone doesn't follow us, someone might be offering her cheap pussy for a ride.”

It’s strange twisting branches are now visible, swiftly moving with the wind. The woman was in awe. She then glanced at the animals that surrounded her. In an instant, her jaw dropped, witnessing the unusual features of every animal. One had four eyes, while others had flowers growing from their antlers. The critters on the woman’s lap moved, softly bumping their scarlet nose against her. Their gem-like eyes widened as their irises dilated in excitement. The woman responded to them, carefully caressing their faces. As she bowed down to meet the critters’ gaze, strands of her hair got loose from the back of her ear. Promptly, the waves bounced. Revealing its bright red hue.

"I can’t imagine the oh-so-upright Franklins knowing anything about that whore’s outfit you’re wearing." Carly closed her eyes, wishing a hole would open up and she could drop through it. "Actually, I’m the whore," chirped Jenn. "See, I’m a prostitute, the TRICK, and Carly is the TREAT." Mr. Richards looked at Jenn, his eyes gleaming. "You’re the whore, huh? Does the whore want a drink?" "Yes." He walked out, and a few minutes later returned. He held two drinks, which he handed to the girls.
