I merely gazed at Gilbert quietly before shaking his hand off. "Gilbert, the best thing you have is your trust. Unfortunately, you've already given it to someone else," I replied calmly, watching as color drained from his face instantly. "Now, I no longer need anything from you. The only thing I really want is to pass the final exam and become a true Gamma warrior." As soon as my words fell, I walked away from Gilbert without looking back ever again.

I looked at the man that I had been in a relationship with for seven years and silently disapproved of his friends’ conversation. Jeremy seemed to read my thoughts. He pinched my cheek and said lovingly, “Let’s get married after I win this bet.” Right outside the door, something dropped and hit the ground with a thud. It was Bailey Scott. Her face was pale as she turned around and ran away. Jeremy, who had been so gentle to me just a moment ago, chased after Bailey. His fingernail brushed my cheek and left a small cut. Everyone looked at me, Jeremy’s official girlfriend, with mockery.
