Damon’s POV: My nemesis. That was the label I had pinned on her the moment I realized I couldn't ignore her existence. She wasn't an enemy in the traditional sense—she didn't carry a gun or plot my downfall in the dark—but she was the one opponent I could never seem to beat. She was the glitch in my life, the persistent static in my frequency. My downfall. My undoing. It all started on December 31, 2012. That was the first time I actually stood in the same room as her. Maya suddenly said, and I nodded absentmindedly, still perusing through the journal. Once I was all alone, I continued reading. But then I came across a line that sent a jolt of awareness through me. 'I miss you, Anessa. I've been on the hunt for the moonstone because it's the only thing that can kill me. It won't be long now. I'll join you soon.' I blinked, startled by this revelation. Only then did I realize that the journal didn't belong to Mason. The conversation I’d heard earlier was proof that it in fact belonged to Alpha Daxton.

(31) XXXI: Facing The Nemesis Viller stopped Jek before they could enter Hodor's chamber. Maridelle lay asleep on his shoulder. “You did something back there. What was it?” Jek answered, “I played a little game. You know got my hallucination power on Nyx. I had this intel that she really hated that bitch you are carrying. I made her saw that she's happy being saved.” Jek explained with excitement. He even got his hand gestures.

She hated me, we stopped pretending about that when she humiliated me at a party two years ago, right in front of Alex, my nemesis. The image of the day was still vivid inside my head. The way I trembled under the spotlight, the heavy sound of mockery that almost tore me apart, and my nemesis, staring right at me like that was my end. “You didn't inform me before coming,” Janelle said, getting up to her feet. Her blue gown swept the floor. She looked almost elegant. “Sorry ma'am…” “To hell with your sorry.” She didn't let me speak. She always does that.

“This is probably a bad time to ask but given everything that’s going on, are you feeling okay Jill?” Cassidy asked. “Well, I just murdered my father and watched him die a gruesome death. Then I find out the original box died with him along with the gems needed to get you out of here. Now I have to find a way to erase the damage he did to this world and get rid of all the intruders he placed here before something else goes horribly wrong. Plus, on top of all of that, if I don’t get you three out of here soon, you may never be able to leave.” Jill explained. “Is there anything else I’m missing?”

Then he apologised to Joanna and promised that he would never do that to any girl again in his life… Though I hadn’t done anything like that again after that, I knew that I had to do exactly that to get the demon to answer. After I realised I was Nemesis, I had done research on Nemesis’s powers. I had read that Nemesis had the power to appear as someone’s worst nightmare; the person they hated the most and was scared of… And Nemesis could make them see their worst nightmares come true. I will have to do exactly that.

I did not hesitate and jumped out of the care before it stopped and ran straight over to them “What happened?” “Chase was sent to distract you, Rick sent men after Jill. They are to deliver her to Z” “How did they get her?” “They stopped in front of us, Jill got out and they threw a silver net over her. I have to give her acting skills a 10/10, if she had not winked at us I would have believed she was in pain” “You didn’t try to stop her?” “She is my Alpha, I have no place to tell her what to do or what not to do. She is still linked with Steve though, that means that they have not drugged her”
