Hila

Hila

She dialed a number she knew off head and called. "It takes great talent and skill to veil great talent and skill. Little Lotus, how is the brighter side of the world?" A crooked old female voice answered the phone. "Only psychopaths and manipulators can achieve hiding their talents and skills Elder Hoshi. Everything is going as planned thank you for asking. Oh, but a Hian Ji attacked me at my home and knows everything about me. I thought I died and my existence was erased with you and the other Elders' help. What's going on?"

"Welcome to Parkview High! I'm Mrs. Stephens," the overly enthusiastic counselor says, gesturing me into her office. Her periwinkle blue jumpsuit is my first clue that a '70s hippie wardrobe is alive and well in her closet. I don't think I've ever seen so many bracelets, ear piercings, or necklaces on one person before. Eccentric doesn't even cover it.

QUINN "Quinn, Quinn, have you listened to a single word I've said?" My father's booming voice pulled me out of my thoughts. I looked at him dumbfounded. Theo Harper — short for Theophilus— was a man everyone knew. He made his money through architecture for the most part. My father had opened his architectural firm when he was no less than thirty years of age. It was a massive achievement on his part — coming from a family with no wealth and rising to someone who had money spewing out of his ears. He had completely forgotten his roots though, letting money go to his head.

This book is a must read. I couldn't put this book down. The characters are very realistic and the story line is something you can actually see happening in real life; especially when you have a dysfunctional family. This book is full of humor as well. I absolutely loved it.

Loved is actually an understatement. One of the best stories I have ever read. Just finished Ace (freaking amazing, loved just as much) and going to finish this binge reading by reading Jericho. Worth reading all night, who needs sleep when you have these outstanding characters keeping you company!

Sgt Maddox

Sgt Maddox

Archer looked at Jessica, embarrassed that it was so obvious. Archer fidgeted on the spot, growing more and more restless. This guy was smitten, that’s for sure Jessica thought. Despite the dickhead she knew him to be in the past, she could tell that Cara had fallen for him hard. She couldn’t blame her. He stood tall and strong, the years had benefitted him well. He had clearly spent a lot of time working out, his khaki green shirt tucked into his camouflage pants, his boots completed the G.I. Joe look. She admired his muscles as they rippled with every movement, he wasn’t her type but she was allowed to appreciate a good looking guy when she saw one

This is a really nice book, surprisingly good for this platform. Needs a lot of proofreading ,(please, vocative comas are your friends! Use them!), but overall it's a good story. Well developed characters, interesting plot and a HEA ending, of course. Congrats to the author!

Born To Fight

Born To Fight

"Yes!" "Okay. Stay close." Jim told Wilson and began to move forward. Before he could take his fifth step, a man of average height and looks coupled with a mohawk approached Jim and stood in front of him, blocking his and Wilson's path. He was the same mercenary from before who thought he saw himself in s place called 'Valhalla'. Apparently, he did not even have a proper understanding of Valhalla. He looked at Jim, down at his phone and back up at Jim's face. Wilson clenched his fist and walked to the side slightly, so that he could throw a punch at the mohawk guy if necessary.

Alpha Logan

I promised, on Hana's life, I wouldn’t kill anyone. I haven’t been here in seven years, not since Siegfried took Suzu from me. My return to my old cabin by the lake was bittersweet—so many memories of her and the good times we had here. On the bright side, the current camp director, Rowan Moors, doesn’t know my face, so I had introduced myself as James Logan and got hired as the new groundskeeper. I’m pretty sure he thinks I’m some lowlife drifter that was just looking for a temporary job and a place to stay. My gut tells me not to trust that prick. And my gut is rarely wrong.

This story was an awesome read and so glad I read it all the way to the end! Granted I started reading the 3rd book before I realized that it was the 3rd book and not the 1st book as I was somewhat confused. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and how they interacted with each other. Great job!

I love this book. The leads are incredible and refreshing. I am beyond excited to have a non-toxic werewolf story to read. The author is wonderful at weaving together a fun and at times truly funny story. very refreshing. Thank you author!!

Only Him

Only Him

Alex calls, "Hey! Man, help me out a bit here, will you?" Adam smirks over at his brother. "You're not Adam." I mumble, sinking back further into the tree, if that was even possible. "Oh heaven's no! I haven't been Adam for quite a while." Adam exclaims, his eyes glowing a brighter grey, "My name is Abror. Some may call me the Grand Duke of Hades, but you may call me King."

And there he was. Leaning casually against a pillar, wearing a hoodie and joggers, his hair messy and loose, those blue eyes locked onto hers. Mona swallowed hard. Damn. This man was dangerously gorgeous.

Hunter's Moon

“And I’ve been called many things, hunter.” Goddess, he knew she was a hunter. After casting a wry glance around, Emory decided to take her chance with him since he was alone. As long as he didn’t shift, she could probably take him on in a fight. Then she grabbed hold of the branch and swung down to meet him. “You’ve got a new one, congrats.” It took her a moment to process his size: she only realized how large he was now that she was off the tree. How tall was he? He looked like he was about six feet seven. Looking up at him made her feel like a dwarf.

The Water Girl

The Water Girl

I say, grabbing an apple on my way to my room to call Speedy and share the news. "So, you're going to have access to Mr. Jim Darby's house?" Speedy says in awe. Jim is a legend at Scotts High. He was the star quarterback in the late 90s and early 2000s, and he went on to have a successful career in the NFL before retiring and becoming a sportscaster. "Calm down. Yes, I get to live with Jim and have some fun teasing the water girl while I'm at it," I say, rubbing my hands together.
