He was afraid of the growing power I had and I was thrown into a foreign land," Austin winced and looked away, "What do you want from me? You can't be telling me this for no reason," "Revenge," Daiki stated. Austin turned his head back to him and waited for an explanation,

The caller replied with respect over the phone, and the call ended. "Every day she's gone." My heart squeezed. "We mark it." He touched the drawing. "And when she gets back, she'll know we counted every one." I smiled. "I like that." He kissed my forehead. "Day one." "Day one." We lay there quietly. Then— The silver tattoo on my wrist burned. I sat upright. Kazan immediately moved. "What?" "I don't know." Light appeared beneath my skin. A thin line. Silver.
