I am not a fighter.” In the dim glow of the cabin's lanterns, Jess finally decided it was time to let in her children on who the master was. Miranda and Manuel sat across from her, their expressions a mix of curiosity and apprehension, as if sensing that whatever their mother was about to reveal would change their lives forever. "Children," Jess began, her voice steady yet laced with the weight of years of secrecy, "Supernaturals exist. They are beings beyond our understanding, beyond what ordinary people can see or comprehend. They are powerful, and some can be dangerous."

They can already imagine him pulling the needle injected in the back of his palm out and dashing out of the ward with those new stitches, and returning with them broken. In fact, it was not the time to wait either. They all were aware of his mate's kidnapping and about the opponent he was supposed to stand against. It was a demonic creature. A Jinn. A beast with dark powers. Powers that were a hundred times stronger and more effective than the super natural powers the wolves possessed.

"I was fine for the past two months, but that was because I was numb." It looked like I would have to discuss my theory about what caused the jinns to appear with Christine. "Chrstine," I said, readying myself for possibly being locked away due to being considered insane. "I think the jinns only appear when I suffer from extreme emotions."
