Luna Rising
“Joan, Lenore. For treason, for coordinating an attack on your Luna, on the princess of this realm, I sentence you to death. Jerry, you have five minutes, but you need to take them here. We aren’t letting either of them alone.”
Jerry walked over and stood in front of his mate. His eyes glazed over as he talked to her privately. When they cleared, sadness clouded them as he issued a bond rejection. Joan cried out in pain, clutching her chest, as she accepted. He sank into a chair, tears finally falling as he looked over his wife and child. “I’ll stay here for a bit if you don’t mind, Alpha. I’d prefer not to see this.”
I rested a hand on his shoulder. “Of course.”
