Joanna glared at Millie, pride written across her face. Millie pursed her lips to indicate that she was listening. Joanna looked around. Once she confirmed that no one was listening, she leaned over to whisper into Millie's ear, "The one I want to meet is M, from the M Base!" Millie narrowed her eyes. Oh? Joanna huffed and pushed her hair back. She looked at Millie and asked, "Aren't you stunned to hear his name?" Millie raised her eyebrows. Joanna was still Joanna, a spoiled little princess who was absolutely brainless.

I am simply disappointed that they failed to hide the ender properly, but anyways, the enemy could have done it differently and we would have not prevented them from getting the ender, they took us by surprise. “Joanna, can you share with us your vision? William was having a hard time; it was weird that he was having a hard time keeping up with her,”

I became even more anxious as I realized that Joanna's abrupt departure had left no clues behind. But then, I suddenly thought about her study again, and that there had to be something in there that could serve as a clue. I rushed back inside and thoroughly searched every corner of the room. Finally, I found a notebook in the back of a bookshelf. I flipped it open and saw that it was Joanna's study notes. As I turned a few more pages, I was left frozen in shock. Within were notes from her learning foreign languages, including Francian! I finally realized that she had been secretly teaching herself multiple foreign languages.

Will was competent, but compared to Joanna, there was admittedly a huge gap between them. Joanna was exceptional. No matter what kind of challenge was thrown at her, she could handle it with ease. She soaked up information like a sponge and was always eager to learn. Not only that, but when it came to her parents, she was eager to please. Maybe she found out that John was not even considering her for the CEO position, so she decided to step up and overshadow her brothers as much as she could. Unlike Michael, Joanna was passionate about business. Even as a little girl, she wanted to be a businesswoman. She was interested in everything to do with business. Joanna had been on edge for quite some time, especially after discovering that Sean's contact list included Liliana. He had even saved her name under a rather affectionate nickname, no less. The sight alone had ignited her fury, sending her spiraling into jealousy. Then came Tania's provocation not long ago, where she had even exposed the illusions Joanna had carefully crafted in front of her colleagues. To make it worse, Tania had said she was taking Liliana to dinner with Sean.

Of course, her greatest hobby which is reading and writing books ignited her curiosity again to visit a book store as it was how many years since she last come to any of it. "Girls, I know you like to see those pieces of jewelry but I am old enough not to appreciate it so, I'll just guide my way towards the book store.", Joan said while pointing at a bookstore. The three girls nodded, and Lady Rhina eyed Augustin. Augustin understands her lady's intention and assigns a guard to follow Joan to the bookstore. When the three girls entered the jewelry shop, the three couldn't help but be dazzled. They were amazed by how much shining and shimmering these jewelry are there in this shop.

Even so, he was surprised to see the woman here of all places. Joanna shot him a look of hatred. "You sure are lucky," she all but hissed. Chika pulled back with a frown, immediately on alert. "What’s that supposed to mean?" Joanna gritted her teeth and thought of her family. They had subjected her to hell in the last few days. Those people were monsters. They only cared about their interests and the glory of their family name. She always wondered what sort of glory could be had in selling their daughters for profit.

Once Joanna left, she stammered out, "M-Mr. Hansen, s-should I… keep the persimmons or—" "Can't you understand basic instructions?" Jeremy snapped. "Of course you should keep them!" "Y-Yes, sir…" … Joanna returned to the master bedroom. After taking a shower, she reclined against the bed frame while reading a book. She continued reading till the time ticked past 10:00 pm. Exhaustion had already set in by then, so she turned off the lights and went to bed right away. Then again, Joanna wasn't able to fall asleep immediately like how she had in the past. Instead, she tossed and turned in bed for a long time.

She could not longer call it a home as it had only being bringing misery to her for the past years. Joanna stealthily jumped and immediately cling unto the metal bar potruding out of the building beneath the second floor. Sweat dripped down her forehead as she stared at the void and dark surrounding beneath her. Joanna was about giving up when she suddenly felt her eyesight sharpen. Immediately, like a leopard, she sucessfully climbed down the building while holding the railings. Now standing in the dark, Joanna was at a loss for what to do. Her feet began carrying her towards the path in a forest.

Tabitha's POV Joanna was a kind-hearted werewolf. Though her family was far from being well-off, she always remained optimistic. I found her optimism contagious. In her, I seemed to see my past self. She was like sunshine, happy all the time as if even the end of the world would not bring her down. "Just like me, all you need to do is lift the corners of your mouth gently. Your baby inside your belly will also be happy when you're in a better mood."
