I shook my head. “I’m not really feeling like I want to,” I said. “Is that okay? I would rather curl up and watch a movie or something.” I looked at Joanna, still in her ball gown with an apron over the top. “You should go, Joanna,” I said. “I know you were looking forward to it. You have some friends that came in, right?” Joanna nodded. “Luna Lexi and Alpha Luke,” she said. “You will be meeting with them tomorrow. Lexi has the gift of healing.”

, she says unaware I am paying more attention than I should to the conversation. “What is your daughter’s name?”, I ask, and she looks back at me smiling. “Cecilia, but we call her Sissi, and the other one is Joanna, our Jo,” she says, and when I hear her name butterflies start flying in my stomach. As I am about to reply, the kitchen door flies open, and Jo steps inside. Her oversized jacket hanging on her body.

" Tell me more about yourself" I asked in a low tone. Joana yawned, then took another deep sip of wine. "What exactly do you need to know?” "Your whole story," I spoke with a shrug. "Do you have any crazy life goals, or just want to continue being a gossipy and very stubborn lawyer?” Joana laughed, echoing the sound of laughter throughout the intimate cell. "I'm not that gossipy, stop it," she grumbled, but rested the glass of wine between her legs and leaned her head on the wall. "I already wanted to be an astronaut, can you believe it?”

Joanna said with infuriating confidence. She must have had what she thought was an ace up her sleeve. I didn’t much care for that. At all. Someone as smart and as greedy as Joanna was also dangerous. There was no telling the depths she might go to, to keep a hold on me and on Markus’s money. “I will,” I said, hiding my growing nerves.

CASSIAN’S POV The day has just begun outside. The sun was a bit bright. We had put everything in place just waiting for the final time to strike. I had to put some papers in order and just while I was sitting on my desk, in my office, Joanna walked into the room. She was elegantly dressed as usual, and her hair was told in bouncy coils down her shoulders. She had the perfect makeup on her face and her blue dress hanging over her body. She had a sweet corporate book that made her so special.

Joanna loves to decorate houses and she chose to decorate houses as her profession and looking for jobs so she can work for the experience and save up money and make loyal clients and name to start her own company. "So you are the author of the book that Ma'am Celia gave us," said one of the guests. Rolan and Nanny Rita quickly looked to each other before looking at Cela to see her reaction. "Oh the lobsters are here," Joyce said in a tone that would catch anyone's attention. "Thanks, Chef." The guests get excited seeing the star of the table. Rolan turned to Joyce to thank her.
