Reborn to Take Down a Liar
Every now and then, she'd burst into hysterical laughter, muttering things no one could understand.
"You mortals don't deserve to laugh at me!" she yelled, her voice echoing like some creepy horror movie. Her eyes were wild, totally empty—like she wasn't even human anymore.
"Life here isn't easy, is it?" I said, my voice icy. "But it's nothing compared to the torment you put me through in my last life."
Her head snapped up, and she froze. "What do you mean, 'last life'?"
Then she screamed, "No! No way! I don't accept this!" She grabbed her head, her eyes wide with horror.
