And this was just the beginning. The call connected, and Ronny’s voice dropped as he gave the order. “Yeah, we’re on. Get the boys ready.” He hung up, slipping the phone back into his pocket as he leaned against the wall outside the way house. His eyes drifted up to the stars above, barely visible through the haze of city lights in the distance. Soon, this would all be over, and he’d get what he wanted—what Mr. Jonas had promised him. Back inside, Jonas took another drag from his joint, his eyes glinting in the dim light. He hadn’t seen his daughter in years, but that didn’t matter now. Although, she just cheated on him and had another man. That is why he can't help but get angry every time he sees, hears or watches drama series related to cheating or betrayal.

I heard Jonas' voice from the kitchen. I rolled down my hem and walked towards the kitchen. I grabbed an orange fruit from the basket first before I went back to Jonas. "Yes?" I replied. Jonas stood up and went to me. He rubbed his eyes which was reddening. "You sleep again," I told him. "I thought you were going out somewhere," he said, sounding worried. "I'm not going anywhere, Joe." "You weren't on the sofa so I thought something happened." He looked at my hands holding a critrus fruit. "Cravings again?"
