His expression turned red with fury. In an instant, Aster grabbed Cornello by the shirt and struck him hard across the face. Cornello staggered backward, but before he could fall, Aster seized him again and landed another punch—this time knocking out two of his teeth. The other council members rushed in and restrained Aster. “You dare lay your filthy hands on my queen?” he roared, his chest heaving with rage. Oscar and Bernard flinched at the sound. Aster tried to wipe my tears, but when he touched my face, I twisted my face in pain and cried out loudly.

I think we will be a good match. Jess chuckled at my expression and hit the ‘match’ button without warning.

“That way if I disappear or they find my body floating down the river, someone will know who the last person to see me was.” He didn’t know whether to laugh or be offended. She watched him. He saw an incredibly handsome young man, emanating an aura of "cool, calm, and collected," surrounded by faint white smoke. It was as if an angel had descended from the clouds to the earth.

I turned around to continue our journey but my heart jumped to my mouth and my breath hitched in my chest as I saw Joram step out into our path. He was partially shifted, his eyes were glaring red and his fangs were extended, but he was not looking at me. His death stare was pinned on Esteavo.

In that case, there's no need to hold back anymore—let's make sure she gives in this time!" Jared then ordered the bodyguards to drag me over the sink. He then yanked the power cord off the switch. With a sinister grin, he taunted, "Guess what would happen if I toss this into the water? You'll find out soon enough—bet it'll feel nice." Despite being left with no strength to struggle, I still felt fear flooding my mind. I was terrified of dying here for no reason.
