I relished the moment because I was unburdened by the worry of limited information; I had more than enough for a fun distraction. It’s hard to tell through the crumpled pages. I got to the end of the page and turned it over, there was nothing. The next page was blank, as were the rest of the pages. I guess she did get him in the end, or the pissant killed himself in his grief. Either way, that means my trail has once again gone cold. I tossed the two torn pieces of the journal away, and the pages were scattered around the floor.
