The man who had nearly beaten me into a coma, the man who had shattered my wrist and started this entire bloody nightmare, had been hired by my own boyfriend. "Jules," Jaxson’s voice was a ragged, desperate rasp in the pitch black, and I felt the heavy, shifting weight of his massive frame moving across the floor toward me. "Baby, please. Look at me. I know you can't see me, but please just listen to me." I flinched when his shoulder brushed against mine, pulling my knees to my chest as a hot, angry tear slipped down my cheek and cut through the mud on my face.

Josie just heaves a sigh and takes a deep breath for being that hopeless to make her niece understand that Xavier will never bat an eyelid at her. "Why can't they just be supportive of me... My feelings for him are not a joke! I'm loving him since I came here... Why! Why we can't be together? I can be better than the girls he is dating..." Rosie uttered amid her cries. Josie on the other hand saw how serious her niece is, and she can't do anything about it. She'd warned her many times but she has her way of understanding everything. For the first time in her life, she is nervous about this niece of hers she is so obsessed with changing their life by marrying Xavier.
