Then someone in the crowd sneered, their voice dripping with sarcasm. "Oh, that must be Sophia's sugar daddy. Showed up to defend her. She's not picky, is she. She'll take a guy in his fifties." The crowd erupted. Some covered their mouths, laughing. Others joined in openly. "Yeah, I heard she doesn't care about age. Maybe this old man's a regular too." The dean's expression tightened. He revels in it, his laughter echoin' through the room, fillin' the space with a twisted sense of joy. “Ya an asshole,” I mutter, unsure of what else to say, feelin' the weight of the situation pressin' down on me. “Oh, I’m hurt!” Joker exclaims, his hand flyin' up to his heart in mock agony. “Ouch,” he adds with an exaggerated pout, clearly enjoyin' every second of this.
