Tempted by the wrong bad boy
Jace exploded.
I hated that word, Murderer.
It struck something deep inside me, something raw and buried. My chest tightened violently, memories crashing in all at once, the sirens, the metal, the darkness. The PTSD clawed its way up my spine.
“Shut up,” I warned, my voice flat, controlled, but barely.
Jace burst into a perilous laugh. “Look at you, so scared. Scared you might lose Zara. She needs to know how much of a monster you are! I told her, I warned her, but she wouldn’t listen. Thank God I did my investigation.”
