I was trying to figure out what to do to get the money I needed. After cleaning and finishing my shifts without acknowledging Markos, it was time to go home. I changed back into my clothes so I could get ready to leave. But, as I was arranging my work clothes in my locker, someone appeared behind me. It was a man I didn’t know. He looked about Markos’ age. The only difference was that he was a bit shorter and he had tattoos all over his neck. He had dark hair and equally dark eyes. He may have passed for a pretty boy but there was something dark lying below the surface. He was as scary as Markos.

Her eyes flicked between my father and me, as if she were trying to recognize us. "You're here!" A raspy, hoarse voice sounded behind me, sending a chill through my entire body. I turned around and saw a tall, masculine man with a tattoo on his right arm. He wore glasses and a mask and held a bag of vegetables. His eyes crinkled as he smiled warmly at my dad. "Ah! Jackson!" My dad rushed over and hugged him, making the man chuckle as he lightly patted my dad's back. "How've you been?" he asked, without even glancing at me.

A single tear escaped Edward’s closed eye, tracking a slow, wet path into his temple. "Don't cry yet," Joshua whispered, a cold, predatory smile stretching his lips. "We have a long way to go. I’m going to make sure you live to see Richard find out exactly who I am. I want you to see his face when he realizes he’s been sleeping with the man you murdered." Joshua straightened his silver-threaded vest. He checked the IV bag one last time, his expression shifting back into the professional, hollow mask of 'Dr. J.' He walked to the door, his boots silent on the carpet.

The girl kept shivering though, which made Prisca lean in better with a big smile on her face. "Thank you so much," the girl said, embracing Prisca. The man owned a house just as huge and expensive as Richard's, a fleet of extravagant cars accompanying it. He had been on Joshua's case ever since he found out he was the reason Helen was rejecting him and was determined to take him down. Joshua was mysterious and no matter how hard he dug he could n
