Malik looks back at his feet. "Aleah Neil, Discipline Pack." Another girl I didn't recognise from first glance. She just clenched her jaw and nodded as she accepted the fact that she hadn't made it past the first round of elimination. As a member of the Discipline Pack, she wasn't about to show anywhere here weakness.

I took my back when the man nodded at me, but then got halted when I saw Alpha Jacob walking toward us. “Brother! Finally, you came. I’ve been waiting for you for quite some minutes now.” What? Alpha Jacob has a brother?

My boots echoed across the floor, a sound that made the youngest of them take a step back. “You lost her, a pregnant woman with a child?” I repeated, tasting the fury like blood. “You had one task. Bring her back. And you’re standing here empty-handed.” Jonas bowed lower. “We tried, Alpha. We tracked her through the storm, but Liam… he…” The moment that name left his mouth, my vision went red. “Liam,” I said, softly, dangerously. “You saw him? And you allowed him to escape? With her?”

Jonathan quickly stood up, pulling Weni up with him. "Hey, Grandpa," Jonathan said, trying to keep his cool in this unexpected situation. "This is Weni. Weni, meet my grandpa, Mr. Wamilton." Weni, feeling a mix of confusion and nerves, gave a little nod and a small smile. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Wamilton." Mr. Wamilton kept his eyes on Weni for a moment before turning back to Jonathan. "Jonathan, I didn't know you had company. Can I talk to you alone for a sec?"

And with that, he turned and stalked out of the cabin as fast as he had entered, shutting the door hard behind him. My mother collapsed into a chair, shaking. "Who was that, Annie? His power.it was wonderful. I've never felt anything like it, not even from the Martial Lord." I kept mute, but I knew then my mom knew my state. I couldn't say a lot. I looked down at my babies, their tiny fists opening and closing. My sons needed a pack. They needed the best protection they would have. And Damon, for his wickedness, was still an Alpha, still known by all. The strange man was too much of a risk.

I said softly. Julius’ eyes suddenly glowed with an intensity I hadn’t seen before, his lips tugging up in a smirk to reveal his sharp canines. “You’re welcome, little wolf.” The voice that came out of his mouth was dark and inhuman, goosebumps trickled down my skin as I realised it was Thanatos, not Julius, who had spoken. In an instant Julius returned to himself, pulling away before glancing at the clock on the wall. “I need to go meet Dean, we have a few things to do tonight so I’ll be late. Will you be okay?”

I snatch it away. "What was that?" I questions. "Was that...That wasn't Grayson was it?" Jasper, glancing around, assesses the shadows sliding in between the trees, as the sun finally sets. His ring glints in the rising moonlight. Commander of the Night. "Be quiet." He snaps. I fold my arms, forcing his hand to fall back to his side. "I'm not doing anything until you tell me what's going on. Do you know how isolating it-"

She adds. That earns a few laughs, mostly from Tianya and Kylynn. I can hear soft giggling from my side, so I know my little sprite also finds this funny. A man about my height sits down beside her as Alayni rolls her eyes. I recognize him as Travis Halestrum. His family owns numerous hotels and restaurants all over the world. We have wanted to meet with him for a few years now. I see the exact moment when he notices Tianya and Kylynn.
