The atmosphere was romantic, white tablecloths, clinking glasses, the murmur of soft conversation filling the room.
Stacey and Adrian sat across from each other, a candle flickering gently between them.
“Hope you’re enjoying your meal,” Adrian said, pouring her a glass of burgundy with polished ease.
“Yes, I am. It’s nice.” Stacey gave a charming smile. “You indeed know your stuff.”
“Just wait and see,” Adrian said with a proud little smirk. “I’m going to show you amazing places.”
“Really, I wouldn’t have known some places existed in this town if it weren’t for you,” Stacey admitted.
