Broken Night

Broken Night

She did wear glasses, but always had the best frames, the ones that enhanced her fox-like face more than detracting from it. 'I never read anything by her.' I remarked. 'She's a bit like Kelly Link, or Caitlin R Kiernan.' Lacey answered, turning back to look at me. 'Just as weird, but not quite as good.' Julia said, from where she was sitting beside me. Julia was the punk/artsy friend, and, unlike Lacey, she looked exactly like you'd expect. Right down to the dyed pixie cut. 'I never read them either.' I admitted. Though I did read some Caitlin Kiernan later on, something about messed up kids in Alabama and angels and spider creatures. It was good, but Julia was right, it was weird as hell.

THE CEO'S THERAPIST

THE CEO'S THERAPIST

That was simply a lot of books to consume in such little time. “Overcome your fear of books…” Julia teased as she took up one of the books. “Perhaps that could be his reason for doing all of this. You can never tell.” Dolph didn't know anything about my fear of reading and that simply made it quite unreasonable for me to think of just how he could have been able to get me the books because of that. “There's a lot of work to be done, Tamika. We need to make your comeback to be one of the most memorable things that would happen in the control. You'll have to come back different and bigger.” Julia's words had me quite motivated and ready to act.

The Billionaire's Alternate Plan

The Billionaire's Alternate Plan

“My bank account knows the truth as do Michael and Aria. I believe by the time Michael’s done talking to Edward, he’ll be able to confirm it for you. Or you can buy my next book. Its release is next Monday and look at the back of the dust cover. Your proof will be there. Victoria Hammond. Bye.” Victoria Hammond, a minor character in the novel, caused trouble for the protagonist. Julie modelled that character after Valorie. Julie knew Valorie would passionately compare the book's characters to others, including herself, long after they parted ways. It would waste her precious time. Julie would take a little sick pleasure in that, and the scandal that would filter through the country club. Val

I started this thinking here we go same as so many on the app. But seeing Michael realize things weren’t how he believed and taking a good look at himself was refreshing. Juliette and her struggles were handled in a way that she wasn’t shown as incompetent but handling her issues. Good read
Harper Blake
The book's complex language and spelling errors made it unclear at times. Dialogues were overly long, often feeling like therapy sessions, which could be boring. However, the sincere discussion of ADHD and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome showed the author's personal touch. Overall, I'm glad I read it.

This Time, I Chose the White Fox

This Time, I Chose the White Fox

The black fox lying in the corner suddenly raised his head and stared straight at me. His gaze was sinister, violent, and full of nauseating greed. I sneered and looked away. "Good! Good! Good!" The Fox King finally came back to himself and said "good" three times. "Sienna, you have excellent judgment. Julian, come greet your future wife." Julian Frost, who had been standing beside the Fox King like an ice sculpture, finally moved. He walked slowly to me and looked down at me. His eyes were cold, without a trace of warmth, as though he were looking at a lifeless object.

CEO'S Darkest Obsession

CEO'S Darkest Obsession

Julia wanted to come slowly, as she knew Xavier’s reaction would be if she went late, and she thought the maid should learn a lesson. She might be caged in Xavier's house, but she isn’t weak. She can give ten fingers if someone tries to prick her. That’s why she was regarded as a wicked woman when it came to revenge. Julia took the receiver from her hands and smirked at her. "Xavier, one minute, please," Julia said to Xavier, who turned to look at the maid. By covering the receiver with her left hand, she said, "This is why I was about to answer the call. I know this call is for me and that it is from your beloved master."

Corruption

Corruption

So Proserpina moves on to the next row, then the next one, and the next one, on and on until she was literally kneeling like a child on the floor when she finally comes across a book third to the last on the bottom row in between a skinny book and leather bound one; the book was silver-gray, small and light in her hands and the cover seemed to have some sort of glossy material in it as it twinkled when she turned it here and there… ‘Kind of a child’s storybook,’ she noted. The book was almost as big as her palm and seemed to have pages as what one would expect from a novelette. She carefully opens it up to the first page–not wanting to have a repeat of another destroyed book because a destro

DOCTOR SIN ANATOMY(erotica series)

Well, now it was time to do something even more audacious than leaving work early. She took the small package out of the handbag and tore open the wrapping. The little book she unveiled made her hands shake and her lips quiver with excitement and anticipation. ‘The Further Forbidden Escapades of Fanny Firth’ typed in bold on the cover sent a few shivers down her back and a pleasant throb between her thighs. Doris couldn’t wait; she dropped down on her bed and opened the book with breathless exhilaration. ‘So there I was again, wondering how it was that this kept on happening to me. Was there a magnetic convergence all around me, attracting all the things that were always so scandalous and wa

The Bookstore Temptation

With a slow gesture, Julian slipped his hand into his coat pocket and pulled out the book she had given him days ago. The one she thought he'd probably forgotten. He placed it carefully on the counter between them. "I finished it," he said. Lena's eyes fluttered closed. "You. did?" He nodded. "And?" Julian's jaw tightened. "It made me angry." She took a breath. Not the reaction she'd expected. "Why?" "Because the protagonist ran," he said, voice low and rough. "He lost something. Someone. And instead of fighting. he gave up. He fell in on himself. He wasted the second chance he was given."

My eyes landed on the dedication page. ‘Dedicated to my Mate, Juliana.’ I traced the letters with a small smile. Love was truly a powerful thing. I turned the page, and the tone of the book shifted instantly: This book is written for all, Human and Werewolf. My name is Alexander Volkov.

My Wife Wants a Divorce!

My Wife Wants a Divorce!

Something must have happened to Julien, which she didn’t know about. Seeing Sydney have a confused look on her face, Julien lifted his hand against his lips, made a cough, and explained, "I've been reading some books lately so I can tell Luke has feelings for your secretary." "You were reading some books?" Julien asked, "What kind of books are so amazing?" "Books about intimate relationships." Julien dropped his hand back on the steering wheel. Sydney raised her eyebrows. "Why are you reading about intimate relationships?" She was confused. Julien's eyes twinkled. An embarrassed look appeared on his face. "I came out of a conference room one day and overheard some women talking. They said th

it is time for the story to develop. We need to see some affection and love from Sidney towards Julien. We need to see some real action between them. This book has started to become boring because chapters repeat itself.
