Julia Hill Book Novels & Stories

in Julia's tone caught everyone off guard. Unperturbed, Julia expanded upon her earlier declaration, her voice audacious and unapologetic. "I sought after Jared's wealth and aspired to become the mistress of this estate. And not only that, I've formulated a cunning plan over the past few days. I sedated Jared, engaged in a physical relationship with him, and subsequently manipulated conception, ensuring he wouldn't be able to extricate himself from me." Julia's confession left Yannie and the others gaping. They had encountered shameless individuals before, but Julia's brazenness in openly and unabashedly voicing her intentions was beyond their wildest expectations.

She said straight as she entered after she got out of the car. Her feet were heavy to step on. Approaching the hill. The weight of her feeling as she approached it. When she saw it. She could not restrain her indignation. Sorry. I can't remember what happened. But I'm sure I'm not the one who did it to you. But I promise I'll find the one who killed you, I just hope I can find him right away. Hope so.

“Peter was a writer.” Julia leaned forward and noticed freckled blood on the pages. A flutter of unnerved sickness in her stomach; she had a diary just like it tucked away in the drawer beside her bed. Once upon a time she’d filled her book with lies on the rare chance that someone would come across it, scour the contents, and say, Wow—what a life this gal’s livin’! But as things complicated, and reality-based drama proved spectacle enough, her literary lies faded, and not too long after, the journal was abandoned completely. This perhaps revealed truths in Julia that she didn’t entirely like admitting to.
