My eyes unwittingly drop to her legs- those fucking legs- which is why I’m not paying attention when she leans in and steals my glass of bourbon, bringing it to her lips and downing it like a shot. She then flashes me a smile, setting the glass back down as she hops up to sit on the edge of the desk.

Julia nodded smiling and slowly closed her eyes back to rest. "Here are the reports miss" Joyce said gently placing a stack of documents on Juliet's table. Juliet nodded and waved her away still concentrating on the file she was reading. Joyce bowed a little and left, as soon as she left Juliet grabbed the documents and began to go through the profiles of the staffs carefully. The top bunk—her bed—was now occupied by Juliet, who lay sprawled across the mattress, tapping away on her phone with a bored expression. “What is this?” Anna asked sharply, her voice trembling. Juliet didn’t bother looking up. “What does it look like? I moved. I need air. That lower bed is too stuffy.” Anna stepped closer, anger boiling inside her. “You threw my clothes on the floor?” Juliet raised a brow. “If they were so precious, you should’ve stayed home with your sugar daddy instead of coming here to play student.” The words hit Anna like a slap. “What did you just say?” she said, her voice low but laced with fury.

The old woman retorted, and Stasia's eyes burned. "Word of advice, don't get your hopes up. They will surely dump you when the time comes. I promise you," she growled, and Martha collected her flowers from Stasia, refusing to sell the bouquet to her. "I have said nothing wrong, Aunty. She will regret it." Stasia said, and my eyes bulged, realising Martha was related to Stasia. "I can't believe you will entertain her. I would have been Luna if it weren't for her," she told her aunt, and I got up immediately, ready to leave.
