She runs upstairs but the moans and skin slapping sounds from the den travel.

Juliet refused to believe it. Juliet was just an uneducated old woman from the countryside. She would only believe the things she could comprehend. In her opinion, no matter how powerful the Lawsons were, they were just businessmen. Even if they were the richest in the country, they were still businessmen who didn't have as much authority as the government officials.

She quietly asked her secretary, Annie Hudson, in the front seat, "Has Julian been with her for the past three months?" Annie answered immediately, "The woman's name is Catherine Burke. She's Mr. Ziegler's childhood sweetheart, though not very bright. Three months ago, Mr. Ziegler pushed through objections and arranged for her to join his company, keeping her well protected." She handed a stack of documents to Willow. Willow skimmed through them. She felt like she could make way for Catherine. As long as Julian was willing to split the joint property, she'd take her share and leave, with no second thoughts.

“Tyr, you can’t do as you like with this matter. Juliet is the eldest daughter of the Jones family of Strego City. If you dare to do anything, the consequences will be unthinkable.” Tyr, however, smiled coldly and shook his head. “Whatever the consequences are, they will be borne by I, Tyr Summers, alone. Juliet must die today, end of discussion.”

Today is such a beautiful day in Salem, I can already tell by the early dawn sun shining through my window. What does today have in store for me? Work! I work at The Jonathan Corwin House which is known locally as The Witch House. It's famous as the original owner of the same namesake was one of the judges who presided over the notorious trials and it's now a museum and I'm lucky enough to run it. What's even better is, I live opposite so it's simply a short walk to work every day.

Catherine gave back the hat to the guy who was seating in the front row. “Catherine Hernandez? You’re his daughter?” Brittany said and Catherine was about to go to get her bag but Lyra approached Catherine and gave the bag to her.

“He wouldn’t even have to know! Why can’t the men in my life just let me live it?” “You’re technically not even old enough to be here,” I remind her. She holds up a finger. “Ah, but I’m old enough to work here! I looked it up before I came in to interview.” Rather than stopping short in front of the desk, Juliet starts to round it, coming to my side. My eyes unwittingly drop to her legs- those fucking legs- which is why I’m not paying attention when she leans in and steals my glass of bourbon, bringing it to her lips and downing it like a shot. She then flashes me a smile, setting the glass back down as she hops up to sit on the edge of the desk.
