The nest would have been the most valuable piece in his collection if it hadn't been a replica. She'd heard real nest fossils went for a several million dollars at auctions. "Those are some impressive teeth."

Ken waved a dismissive hand. “It’s not exactly difficult. He spent most of the afternoon explaining dinosaurs to me.” Leo nodded proudly. “He didn’t know the difference between a T. rex and a Velociraptor.” Ken shrugged. “In my defense, one is just a slightly smaller dinosaur.” Leo gasped in dramatic horror. “That’s not how dinosaurs work!” I shook my head, smiling as I slipped off my shoes. The apartment felt warm and familiar. Soft lamplight filled the living room, casting a gentle glow over the couch, the bookshelves, and the small collection of Leo’s toys scattered near the rug.

I gave Lydia some respite because I knew she was also enjoying her time out. The first stop was Dinosaur Hall which was inside a towering building shining in the warm sunlight. The moment we entered the building, Mabel and Miles's eyes widened in awe and they immediately became calmer, intrigued, and a bit scared of what was in front of them. The room was filled with prehistoric dinosaur skeletons towering above them. “Come on, now,” I told the twins, amused by their slack-jawed expressions. Even Lydia looked impressed by the size of the skeleton.
