Bethany's expression froze, the joy in her eyes vanishing as sheer panic took its place. The terror she felt was laid bare in front of Mitchell, and in that moment, it looked almost comical. Though it was the height of summer, Bethany felt a chill crawl over her skin, a chill that had nothing to do with the weather. She had already experienced the madness that Mitchell could descend into for Heather's sake, twice now, and the fear of reliving it a third time made her stomach turn.

It would not be much longer until they noticed she wasn't there. She thought about it and gave Kristen a call. The call was quickly answered. "Summer, we're almost home." "Mom, I went out," Summer said. "You went out? Where did you go? You just got injured, so shouldn't you be resting at home? Why did you leave?" Kristen asked in shock. Summer replied, "It was too stuffy at home. I just went out to buy some study materials, but I decided to attend a concert, too. I'll be a bit late. Let Grandpa and Dad know."

Everyone asked at the same time and Joel felt it was awkward, "it was meant to be your graduation gift but anyways, it's not too late or early to tell you now" He smiled and Beatrice was more shocked, she couldn't believe what was happening. "Okay, so, can we book the first month, I want different wear deigns, I don't care about the amount" Mark said as he could tell what Joel was trying to do. Mark smiled inwardly as Joel's possessiveness was about the chart. "Just contact me directly," Joel said and Benita chuckled. "Why don't you give me your number?" Benita asked and Beatrice was so pleased, "sure"

Summer shrugged and walked closer, "Why the sulky face? Didn't you miss me? Because I did." "Cut to the chase, Summer; why are you here?" "To take what is rightfully mine and hers..." Summer twisted her lips before turning to where Britney stood. "I have nothing of yours!" I snapped. "Perhaps, reminding you will be great." She tilted her head before smiling, "I hate to do this because I like keeping it for the last moment, but you leave me no choice." Summer stretched her hand, and I glimpsed a substantial egg-shaped brass ring on her index finger. It was an old-fashioned ring accentuated with a large transparent black oval-cut gem.

Marga POV I tied my hair into pony tail since the heat of the sun is excruciating. I feel like all my energy left out from my body. Gezz! Just as I about to turn to the next building holding a map of the entire school since you know I am new. I need to familiarize the place I asked map from the office. Good thing they have it's very helpful to me. They offer someone to tour me inside the school but I told them that it's more fun touring on your own. I feel like Dora The Explorer. Hahahah... 😂😂😂

“They’ve always fought like this—you and Summer just made them tone it down for a while.” I stare at him, stunned. This is the first real, calm conversation we’ve ever had without arguing. “Mommy! Mommy!” Summer calls from the backseat, leaning so far forward her face is almost at my shoulder. I adjust her seatbelt and pull her back gently. “Only two more weeks of school, then summer vacation! And summer vacation means… my birthday!” Her face lights up, and Helios and I share a smile in the rearview mirror. “What do you want to do for your big day, princess?” he asks, his eyes soft as he watches her reflection.

Then, time passed by. It was the weekend, and I visited home. I had my phone on silent but by the looks of it, each minute that passes, it lights up with a message. I look at my phone in my hands only to roll my eyes at it. Brye has been bombing my phone with messages and he won’t stop obviously until he gets the reply that he wants. For the rest of the drive, I was only looking outside while listening to music. It felt weird. The ride felt weird for some reason.
