“No, it’s not about that. Um… so, my friends and I were thinking of going on a short trip. Just for a week.” That made both parents pause. “A trip?” his mom asked, straightening. “Where?” Sky hesitated. “Uh… not too far. Just somewhere out of the city. You know, to celebrate finishing finals. Everyone’s exhausted and we figured we deserve a break.” His mom gave him a long, unreadable look. “You’ve never asked to go anywhere overnight with your friends before.” “Yeah, well… first time for everything?” Sky offered a sheepish smile, scratching the back of his neck.

He was in despair, thinking a couple of meetings after wouldn’t hurt. A terrible mistake. One he was paying for till now as the broad simply wouldn’t let him be. He was unsure what her goal was, seeing as he made it very clear he wanted nothing to do with her. Anna pressed her lips together in a smile and set the watch on the table. “I’ll pass. I don’t have a thing for being wiretapped.” My hand stiffened. She sat down across from me and propped her chin on her hand as she asked with a smile, “Dr. Summer, did you enjoy the show last night? I even brought my purse into the bedroom on purpose so you could hear more clearly. Oh, but there were probably some parts that you missed. After all, John doesn’t just like to do it in the bedroom. He enjoys other places even more.”

Text messages poured in, and my phone lagged, freezing at the chat interface with Greyson. Greyson: [You're disgusting! Don't return to the Tromp family anymore! I'll tell them about your affairs!] [I feel dirty to have ever slept with you!] I wanted to explain, but I found it useless after typing a long explanation. Greyson would never believe me, so I deleted word by word. After a while, a call came in, and I subconsciously picked up. The unfamiliar male voice was extremely vulgar. "How much for one night? Erica beamed in excitement, grabbing my arm and bouncing it lightly. “I think I’ll pass,” I said quickly. My whole body felt like it was about to give up. “I’m exhausted.” Her excitement earlier collapsed instantly. “Eh? Why?” Erica pouted so hard as I felt her disappointment radiating. “We rarely get chances like this.” “I know,” I said softly, patting her arms. “But I really just want to rest. I promise to go next time though.” She sighed and drooped her shoulders. “Fine.”

"Daddy, just ignore Uncle Brandon. He does like to tease me and River. By the way," Summer suddenly observed the phone screen more closely. "Who is she?"
