I ask with a smile on my face. “I don’t do singing,” he responds. “Oh, then I have just the thing that will change your tune.” The silence around is overwhelming. I know that all eyes are on me “Give me another blindfold.” I can feel the soft texture of the small fabric in my hands. I wrap the blindfold around clenched fists. Walk towards Gregory. Slowly. Just when I was about to bind the blindfold around his eyes, he pushed my hands away. “Get hold of him!” I shout.

“You weren’t just anything. Don’t think that way about yourself.” I swallowed. The tears didn’t come this time. Maybe I was too tired. Or maybe I just didn’t have anything left to cry out. “I’m ready to go home,” I said finally. “Yeah,” Blair said. “Let’s go.” We walked back to the car and got in, and I looked back as Blair began to drive. I yelled back, "And who do you think you're talking to? I put up with you only because I liked you and was grateful to Lauren. Now you only make me sick. You've got no privileges with me anymore." He stepped closer, his voice shaking with anger. "Say that again! Damn it! I make you sick?" I tilted my head and enunciated, "I'm done with you! You only make me sick! Clear enough?
