His growl shook the chamber. “You lying bastard!” Elias’s smirk didn’t falter. “Tell me, Lena. Tell them you didn’t want me. Tell them you didn’t kiss me back.” All eyes turned to me. My throat closed. My chest burned with shame and anger. “I—” My voice cracked. Kael’s eyes locked on mine, desperate, furious.

“Katherine couldn't let go of the daughter she lost. Sometimes she would call Elara Elena without realizing it.
