I said, forcing my voice to stay steady.
"Are you out of your damn mind? That man defiled you!"
"He didn’t." The truth sat on the tip of my tongue, but I didn’t say it.
Because I already knew who had orchestrated this mess.
And if I was right, then my uncle was involved in more ways than one.
"The Andersons are our mortal enemies," he hissed. "And yet, here you are, crawling into their den. Do you have any idea what you’re doing?"
