Bloodbound: The legacy of Serelai

Bloodbound: The legacy of Serelai

"Just like my mom was. The Keepers are a group of women whose job is to guard powerful old things, to keep them safe from bad people. The job gets passed down from mothers to daughters. My mom's name was Lyra and she told me your grandmother was the one who taught her everything. She said your grandma was the smartest and strongest Keeper." He took a shaky step closer, needing her to believe him. "My mom figured out that some of the Keepers had turned bad. They didn't want to protect the powerful things anymore; they wanted to use them. So she came to your grandmother for help. They knew they had to hide the journal. It was the most dangerous thing of all. It's not just a book, it's like a k

Daughter of the Naga

Daughter of the Naga

Even though I was born a girl, it didn't stop him from including me in all sorts of adventures, most of which were considered 'unlady-like'. Unfortunately, there was no more project funding for his future research, so we both settled into a dull existence in America. Dad worked at a small museum. He didn't mind it though and always quoted Bukowski's words, 'Find what you love and let it kill you.' Then just out of the blue, my father got a phone call from his old friend, who sent him some documents on a rare find from a medieval city — famously known as Angkor City. Before I knew it, we ended up at the Phnom Penh International Airport three days later.

The Reaver Chronicles: The Keepers (Book 5)

But she is a welcome fucking addition that both Titan and I enjoy. When I got back to Katrina's, she was sitting in the living room across from a man dressed in all black with a hood over his head. It was clear he didn't want to be seen or recognized. "Ramses, this is Thayne, he is the last Keeper besides myself." She said. I nodded to him and took a seat next to Katrina, putting my hand on her leg as they spoke.

Shade Immortal Brothers

Shade Immortal Brothers

And as the monster smashed the ground, there was an earthquake tearing from him to the Shaders, and the fast ones took the lesser ones out of the track. "I'm the Keeper, keeper of Purgatory. And I shall claim this land to extend my territory," the Keeper pronounced clenching a fist. "Now, I bring my true army, my warriors." More horrible creatures crawled out behind him, actually affirmatively an army as he claimed. They were countless and more defying than the previous. "Oh my God," Alisa exclaimed with a fallen jaw. "By the time I'm done with Shade, it'll be nothing but oblivion."

Reaper's Hollow

Reaper's Hollow

Ru asked as the five of them climbed inside and Cutter pressed the correct button. “Yes,” Ivy replied, “retired. Most of the people who work and live here are either retired or angels. Younger Keepers are too valuable to spend their time doing these types of jobs.” Ru seemed to remember one of them mentioning back when she first started that there weren’t that many Keepers in existence, at least compared to Reapers, mostly because of issues with crossing bloodlines. “But the city seems so big,” she muttered. “It’s an illusion,” Rider explained. “And all the Keepers that are here aren’t really here—just like us.”

his gaze darts to Joshua beside him, “stuff. Just when everything’s at a breaking point, the heroic Apions swoop in and adopt us like we're a bunch of orphans.” My shoulders rise and slump back down heavily. “What were they supposed to do? Reject us. Its clear to them, dad and us, that we’ve only been aware of each other’s existence, not that long ago,” I retort. “Be that as it may. It doesn’t change the fact that this place is creepy as f. C’mon bro, you saw all the houses we drove past before we got here. No gates or fences. Then comes the Apions with iron gates and armed, call-of-duty, guards manning the property.”

Shadows of the Lost

Shadows of the Lost

Although they were allowed to use their shadow, they were only limited for an hour of doing so, which Michelle sometimes violated in her months of being stuck in there, convincing a hard-headed president to allow the headmaster to mobilize the protectors. Exactly why the headmaster desired to control the protectors, Michelle didn’t really know. She’d been told that the Masakonians were on the move, but she didn’t truly believe it. As far as she knew, as far as her knowledge could take her, the Masakonians left a trace when they’re on the move. This they did a hundred years ago when they ignited a war from the land, which was backed-up by the Forbinians—the Wielders of the Forbidden City. Wha

Probably the most challenging story I have written. With about 5 drafts and two years of crafting, it’s my longest work. It’s thrilling. I revisit it sometimes and, he, even I get overwhelmed and awed. I mean, it feels like I’m not the one who wrote it.

I love the world building of this novel! Even when you’re only in chapter one you can already see how the author meticulously planned the settings of the story. It’s descriptive so even if the world is new and unfamiliar the readers could still easily imagine what it’s like.

The Alpha's Defiant Luna

The Alpha's Defiant Luna

By the third evening, she had assembled a picture that made Elena's blood run cold. "There was a civilization before the Ancient Dynasty," Mira said, her voice hushed. "Before the Lycans. Before even the first werewolves. The texts call them the Keepers. They were not shifters. They were not humans. They were something older." Elena leaned forward. "What happened to them?" "They didn't die out." Mira's hands trembled as she smoothed a brittle page. "They were sealed beneath the world. All of them, at once. By their own hand."

My Alpha Buried the Wrong Luna

My Alpha Buried the Wrong Luna

"Noah, wait." I ignored him and carefully unfolded the section I had found hidden behind the journal's inner binding. The paper was thinner than the others, almost as if Adrian had added it long after the rest of the journal had been completed. At the top, he had written a single word. Keepers. I read the first paragraph aloud. "Adrian wrote that the Keepers existed before the council." Cassian wasn't there, but I could almost hear the questions he would have asked. I continued reading.
