The Alpha's Prisoner

The Alpha's Prisoner

"Like—I'll do something completely normal. Eat too much at dinner. Laugh too loud at something Owen says. Sleep in past dawn. And some part of my brain still braces for the consequence, even though there's no one here who'd ever punish me for any of that. I know it's not rational. I know Marcus isn't hiding in a closet waiting to catch me being happy. But the fear doesn't seem to care what I know." "That's not irrational," I said softly. "That's twelve years of conditioning trying to protect you from a threat that used to be real. Your body learned those rules because they kept you safer than not knowing them. It just hasn't caught up yet to the fact that the rules don't apply here." "How lo

With All My Love

With All My Love

Past Annabelle closed her eyes tight, a knot twisting in her chest. The room suddenly felt smaller, the air thicker, as if her fear had a physical presence beside them. Her heart picked up its pace, thudding a frantic rhythm against her ribcage. "I’m terrified I’ll destroy us," she breathed, barely audible. Heat flared behind her eyes, threatening tears that she stubbornly refused to shed, while a surge of adrenaline tingled at her fingertips. The admission felt like a weight pressing down on her chest, as if the world had constricted around this one fear.

Where fear ends

Where fear ends

My shoulders are tense, my posture a little too guarded. She deserves young. Uncomplicated. Easy. My stomach knots. I remember how she looked the last time I held her. Lips parted. Hair tangled. Whispering Don’t stop, not now, not later. I want to be yours. Completely. I’d never seen anything more beautiful. I’d never felt anything more terrifying. That was the night everything changed. And now, I feel like I’m standing at the edge of something again. Not passion this time. But fear. I go to the living room and drop into the couch, rubbing my hands over my face.

Annabel Raven
I'm having a great time with Annie, even though the writing needs a bit of improvement on verbal tenses, the reading just flows, and we get so hooked to the story. I loved her witty personality, and the mystery around her. It's funny to see how "the great" Sandy is falling for her without noticing.

MATED TO THE ALPHA TRIPLETS

MATED TO THE ALPHA TRIPLETS

he muttered. Kael’s voice came low. “Not escalating.” “Announcing.” I clenched my fists tightly. Rage burned hot inside my chest. Because this wasn’t just killing anymore. This was messaging. Psychological warfare. Fear tactics. And it was working. Behind us, more servants gathered at a distance. Whispering. Panicking. Terrified. Fear spreading faster than disease. And once fear took hold inside a pack… Everything began to crumble. Hannah POV The moment I heard the scream, my entire body went cold.

Mated To My Stepbrother

Mated To My Stepbrother

"Losses?" "A few scrapes. Nothing serious. But it rattles the cage. Makes the walls feel thin." She scooped up another handful of peas. "Fear’s a hungry thing. Gnaws at the edges. Makes folks jumpy. Suspicious." "Thorne’s faction?" I asked, the name leaving a familiar chill in my mouth. "Listening extra hard today, I’d wager," she said, her eyes finally meeting mine. They held a depth of understanding, a weariness that matched the pack’s pulse. "Whispers travel fast on fear. Easier to sell doubt when the wind’s blowing cold."

The Art Of Dying

The Art Of Dying

"Same thing when you're dead." Axel silenced them with a look. "No last words. We're not dying tomorrow. We're surviving. Like we always do." He looked around at all of us. "I know you're scared. I'm scared too. But fear is good. Fear keeps us sharp. What we can't let it do is paralyze us." "Easy for you to say," Walter commented. "You've had ninety-nine years to get used to being afraid."

Sold To The Feral Alpha

I paused, letting the silence stretch, letting them wonder. “It’s fear,” I continued, my voice dropping, becoming more intimate, as if I were sharing a secret. “Fear is how the Council built their empire. Fear is what they used to control packs, to turn brother against brother. Fear is why they sent an army to my gates with blades sharpened for my infant son.” I straightened to my full height, my voice rising again, becoming a declaration. “And fear is what I am ending. Today. Right here in this hall.”

All of it rushing back at once. Her knees buckled. Finn caught her before she fell. “I told you,” Ash said. “The fear is contagious. Weaponized. You can’t approach it directly.” “Then how do we help?” The fallen thing stepped forward. “By showing it that fear is not fatal. That terror can be endured. That screaming eventually stops.” It walked toward the white Source. The fear hit it too. Lena saw the fallen thing’s form flicker wildly. Saw it struggle. But it kept walking.
