She plugged the drive in, turned on the TV and waited for the video to load. “Thank you all for having me. My name is Kesley, Harrison's wife and the mother to the heir of his empire!” A loud cheer erupted in the hall, making Kesley smile. “As a member of the Elite with so much exposure,” she began proudly. “I take it upon myself to bring a feeling of joy to the common people of the city. Seeing the satisfaction on their faces gives me a kind of joy no money could br–” Kelsey was forced to stop when she saw the looks on the guests’ faces.

“Please tell me that you are not referring to Sienna as your daughter.” “Do you see Sienna being a sharp wolf? As far as I'm concerned, she's nothing but an Omega. She says and I just turn away to put the coffee pot back. "Mighty?" Mr. Robinson says and I can hear Kelsey laugh behind me. "You didn't know? She was the perfect, all A's, quiet little naive college girl. And what do you know? She's now a college dropout in an apron." Kelsey says and continues with a laugh, "And here I was thinking you had some sort of mega job opportunity. Guess I turned out better, hands down." She says and I keep my gaze fixated on my busy hands, washing pans and bowls.

I stepped forward with my hand stretched outwards, and she took and shook gently. “The renowned Real Estate Tycoon. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” For a celebrity with 6 figures in a bank, Keri Hilson was surprisingly, nice. Painfully nice. I nodded to her and she glanced back at Skylar. Finishing their conversation from earlier, they wrapped up quickly with whatever they were talking about. Some things like silhouettes and ensembles. Things I have never heard before. She had the freshest vibrant look I have never seen on her in all my life.

“I hope you enjoyed your weekend and spent some time outside of the office.” Once Gary finished his sentence, Kelsey walked through the door, a few interns that had been assigned to her following anxiously. Keeping my poise, I spent a half second examining her. She was wearing a sexy Caribbean blue shift dress with black heels, her hair slicked back and tied in a high ponytail. Whenever she wore her hair like that, the urge to wrap it around my wrist and tug on it came over me. She loved it, too. Bringing my attention back to Gary, I answered, “I kept busy.”

I could feel the hostility rolling off them in waves. “Shit. Is that bone?” I swallowed. “Please help me get it off.” Someone scoffed. “You stole Ryder from me,” she snarled. “Now you expect me to help you.” “I didn’t steal him from you. I can’t help who the Goddess－” “Shut up!” “We should help,” a girl said softly. “Alpha Keiran－” “We were never here,” Kelsey snapped. “By the time they find her, our scent would be long gone.”

Kelsey fell hard to the floor, her palm scraping painfully against the marble tiles. Her cheek burned badly from the two slaps Doris had given her, and before she could even recover, another harsh voice rang through the living room. “How dare you come back here after what you did to Kendrick?!” Kelsey slowly lifted her teary eyes. Venus Holloway, Ramon’s younger sister, was standing beside the couch, glaring at her with disgust. Kelsey’s lips trembled heavily.
