Once he pulled it off and tossed it onto the table, Milan quickly picked it up and hung it. “What’s on your mind, sir?” she asked. “I’m thinking about the girl who hasn’t shown up yet.” “Which one, sir?” “The one named Emma. Are you sure she agreed to our request? It’s been a week.” Milan corrected him gently, “Actually, it’s only been three days.” Ezra frowned. “So why isn’t she here? The others have already resumed.” “She sent a message saying personal issues were delaying her, but she will be in the office by tomorrow morning.”

Emma was incensed and the only thing that staved off an outburst from her was the fact that they were in a public place. Kylian had arrived tardily for the date, keeping her waiting for almost thirty minutes before he walked in with a flimsy excuse that he had been unavoidably delayed by a last-minute business conference that he simply could not miss. Then, his phone didn’t stop ringing, interrupting their conversation each time she tried to summon up the courage to bring up a conversation about the money he promised her.

“Suuuuure, okay.” ‘Apollo! Knock it off! She can’t know and you are not being helpful right now.’ He snorted. ‘I will be with mate soon enough.’ He shoved Apollo back into his mind and answered Denice’s previous question with concern in his voice. “What’s wrong?” Her eyes dimmed a little before she began speaking. “I won’t be back within the 6-month time frame like originally planned and that time is basically upon us. It’s mid-April and I left back in November. It will take longer than expected; I’m not sure how much longer. I’ll have to trouble you Mr. Gray, to hold onto my car longer than originally planned and to hold onto the fact that we know each other a bit longer.”

Emma stared at the calendar on her phone for the third time that morning, heart hammering. Two weeks late. Her period had always been regular until now. The penthouse felt too quiet. Marcus and Ryan were already in the kitchen making coffee when she walked in, still in one of Ryan’s oversized shirts, day collar visible against her throat. “I’m late,” she said without preamble. “Really late.” The words dropped like a bomb. Ryan set his mug down slowly. Marcus froze mid-pour.

Nina was confused by her husband's attitude. "I'm just wondering for this month, the previous months I used to take a week off at the beginning of the month, waiting for your monthly guests to finish, but this month..." "Nathany." Nina gasped at her husband's mention of monthly guests. She quickly got up and grabbed her cell phone to look at her monthly calendar. "Oh my God! Nathany!" Nina squealed as she covered her mouth. "What's wrong, baby?" Nathan woke up and tensed up. "My Hubby Baby, I'm six days late," Nina said happily.

A waitress asked me. “No, I am waiting for my date!”. I politely said. It has been ten minutes past seven and there was no sign of Kelvin. Maybe he got stuck in traffic. After another ten minutes, another waiter walked up to me and asked if I would like to make an order. I decided to order some wine to ease my nerves. It was till forty five minutes past seven before Kelvin got up. “Sorry, I'm late!”. He casually apologized. “It’s fine. Am sure you must have been stuck in the traffic or busy in the office”. I tried making up excuses for his late arrival.

Although he didn’t shout, his voice held enough power to silence the room all over again. “They were supposed to be here four days ago,” he snapped. “Now they want a ceremony for showing up late?” His glare was fixed on the scroll, and no one dared to meet his eyes. Bastian looked like he wanted to sink into the floor. “The message says they were delayed due to a storm…” “I don’t care what it says,” Evander’s jaw clenched. “If they show up late, they had better have something to show for it. Or they can leave the same way they came.”

She was surprised to see Luna enter and said: "So, Miss Greenwich , you've already arrived. I believed you were still hiding." She spoke: "If I had an appointment, I would never be late. I would leave an hour Elven if I was far away. I wouldn't be late for a meeting like this." When she had a date with Judy in the past, she was always late, but she never got furious. But Cathelina Bright was furious when she was late for some reason. It was plainly you who asked for it, it was definitely you who set the time, it was clearly at the door of the house, you wouldn't be late as long as you were one minute ahead, however the other party persisted on being ten minutes late.

Her gaze lingered on the plate of fruit salad in front of her. “Nevermind.I need to rest now ,my doctor would be around tomorrow for his monthly visit. You could meet my son,Simon so he could tell you what my checkup schedule is like”she said in a hurry leaving me in a state of not being able to give a reply to what she’d said earlier . “Alright bet.But I’m sorry to say,I haven’t seen him for almost a week.Basically,Its just been you and madam Alda at home lately”I said trying not to come off as rude

Gladys sounded worried. "Oh Mrs Diego, is there a problem?" Lauren asked. She sounded concerned. "Of course not, honey. Just come, I'll be waiting for you." And she cut the call. She waited. She waited for an hour before Lauren arrived. When the girl arrived, she apologized for coming late, blaming her lateness on the heavy traffic. But Gladys thought nothing of it, her lateness didn't matter to Gladys, the girl had arrived and that was all that mattered.
