His body blurred, bones snapping as his massive wolf burst forth, standing proud and dark against the moonlight. The rogue wolf sprinted toward me. My body froze. Every instinct screamed at me to run, but my legs refused to move. The creature’s yellow eyes burned with madness as it lunged, jaws wide enough to tear through bone. I braced for the impact. But it never came. A massive black shape slammed into the rogue mid-air. Kael. His wolf was even larger up close. Power rippled beneath his thick midnight fur as he tackled the rogue to the ground, his jaws snapping shut around its throat with brutal precision. I finally said back to him wanting him to know that it was his action that caused all of this. Kero looked at me for a moment as his face began to change and said, “No, I didn’t go far enough.” He shifted within a matter of a split second and lunged towards me. Catching me off guard and landing a hard blow that knocked my feet back as I shifted into my own wolf.

Roxy gave Lucas a kiss on the cheek before taking off. Lucas turned to face the council member. "Can you feel it happening?" He asked. "What?" "Your heart." He touched Lucas' chest. "All wolves' power comes from their hearts. It is how we are tied together. As a new Alpha they are bonding to you. Enjoy it, the memory of this feeling will stay with you forever." Lucas' heart was beating so fast he couldn't feel a thing. Since it was supposed to feel pleasant he closed his eyes and gave a nod. Then out of the blue a feeling of euphoria hit him.

Sensing his presence, one of them snaps its head and snarls at him. Kieran's wolf growl, his amber eyes eyeing his prey and he doesn't hesitate. He charges, tackling the first one and biting deep into its throat; blood sprays, and he flips the body aside, and then another rogue lunges at him from the left. Kieran ducks and then slams into it, snapping its ribcage.

I pushed him away from my face with my leg, and he growled at me, without thinking, he launched towards me, and I picked up a huge wood in the fire I built and mashed him with it. I pointed the woods towards both wolves, and they moved back, I might be a human but training with werewolves in the past five years really came in handy and they hated fire. “You little bitch!” He growled as he pounced on me and used the wood to tear his flesh open and hit him so hard with fire making him burn. I ran into the woods as fast as I could while one of the two wolves chased me down.
