I launched myself forward, colliding with the first wolf and snapping my jaw at him, biting and ripping at his flesh everywhere I could while keeping an ear out for the positioning of the others. Kael, in his wolf form, tore through two of Kevin’s warriors in quick succession, his silver fur gleaming under the pale moonlight. “Hold the eastern flank!” Kael barked through the mind link, his tone sharp. “We’re on it!” one of his wolves responded. Despite being caught off guard, Kevin’s warriors fought back fiercely. They were fighting for survival, and the desperation showed in their relentless attacks.
