Bryan hasn't texted since this morning's curt "Running late. Start without me if you want." On Valentine's Day. Our fifth anniversary. I poured a drink. Then I poured one more. The bubbles hurt my throat. I looked out the big window. The city shimmered below, thousands of tiny lights glowing like fallen stars. The room is very expensive and it beats the cost of my dress. Bryan chose it because he wanted to show our love off. "I'm sorry I've been distant. I know work has been stressful for you. I'll try harder to understand." I soliloquized, memorizing the words I've rehearsed all week.

I tried to run to her but I was held back by Matt, who had a firm hold on my arm. “Shut up if you don’t want to end up like that crazy girl.” Matt spat, shaking me hard as master Kieran began walking towards us. I stopped screaming and broke into hot tears, pained by the fact that I couldn’t do anything. Master Kieran walked to Matt, cleaned off the stain of blood on the knife on his cloth, before redirecting his cold gaze to me. There was so much hatred in his eyes, even though it wasn’t directed at me but it was there. It wasn’t directed at Lucy either, so why did he have to kill her?

But he'd also abandoned me when I needed him most. "Professor, please take care of yourself. It's all in the past now." "No, it's not!" His tone grew agitated. I could picture him pacing in his office. "Phoebe, I need to ask you something - can you give Kieran another chance?" My blood pressure spiked. Was he serious right now? "He's an asshole, but his feelings for you are real. Lately... he's practically killing himself over this." "He came to see me yesterday. Broke down crying in my office like a child."

Valerie would always make unwanted suggestions at times. "I'll volunteer and help them try to find a cure. I studied medicine, remember?" She grinned. I felt an array of hope. My hands slipped firmly to her waist, "Are you sure about helping?" "Yes," She beamed and pressed her lips against mine. This was why I liked her. Who needed Valerie when I had her? "Alpha," Ryan suddenly walked in. "I'm sorry." "What is it?" I frowned. "Alpha Kael has given his permission to find Luna Valerie in his pack," He replied, making me smirk.

My first memoir in a new diary. My old diary was filled with stories and stories of girls I've fucked and turned but after this incident that happened on 23/4/2027 I had to start a new diary. So... I was angry that mum was remarrying. I really hate the thought that she couldn't keep her pussy at check after dad's death and jumped into another man's arms. However, she kept reassuring me that it's going to be fine but I hate it as hell.

But his voice, cold and arrogant, shattered it. "Where are you? Lucy needs a necklace for a banquet. I remember you wore that custom Valentine's piece today. Bring it over quickly." A bitter laugh echoed in my chest, mingling with despair. He killed our child for Lucy Wicker, and now he wanted to take my Valentine's necklace and give it to her? "Do you even remember leaving me alone at the bridal studio?" I asked. Caught off guard, Mike paused for a moment before replying curtly, "Are you seriously holding a grudge over that? Wedding photos can be taken any time. Why are you being so petty?"

Well shit, its the end! Damn, I really enjoyed writing this novel. I loved the lessons its taught me and I love the person I've become through writing this book. Especially Valerie. I love who she's become. I love she's finally able to trust those around her, I love that she continues to fight no matter how much times life interferes, intent and making her stay down! I wanted a character who doesn't hide their emotions, a character who embraces them but is also burdened by them. I wanted a character who wore her heart on her sleeve no matter how dangerous it was especially in a cruel world.

Like You gave me mine. Dear Diary, Thank you for accompanying me this far. Thank you for being willing to accept all my complaints. And thank you for accompanying the lonely years of my life. (You can read Abigail's story in the book titled "Wedding Agreement")

But I wish she would understand my views, my feelings and choices and respect them too as I do hers. My next move after sending her my poem will be to wait for her reactions and talk it over with her severally in a considerate and respectful way. After that I shall send her a copy of a novel. A book that I believe will further open her eyes to what I feel for Aisha and probably help me explain better, a book written by her beloved son. That book is what you have in you hands now, titled DIARY OF A PATRIOT.
