Despite this, disappointment arises as soon as she hears her brother speaking. "Yeah, alright. I get it. He is the most beautiful, cute, handsome and adorable person you have even seen. But you see, my not so adorable sister, what the fuck it has to do with me? Why are you making my ears bleed?" Killian finally voices out his annoyance. From the corner of his eyes, he sees her nostrils flaring in anger. The jealousy that had been festering in my gut evaporated. I took in the appearance of Alpha Killian's sister. She was definitely around my age, 17 or 18, and looked so much like her brother. Her dark hair was long and her grey eyes stood out against her pale skin. She also happened to be much taller than me, and way more curvy. "He's your brother?" I trailed off incredulously. "Your sister?" "Yes," he said, his voice filled with venom. "Years ago, this bastard raped her. Then he killed her to keep it a secret when he wanted to become an Alpha because he couldn’t risk his reputation being ruined. He even tried to kill me, but I escaped. And now, he’ll pay."

Clear was two years older than me. “Did you guys look alike?” “I guess,” I mumbled. Why was Killian so interested in finding out about my sister? “Do you have a picture of her?” He demanded. “I have a picture of Clear. But what do you want with my sister?” Talking about her brought up memories and I soon began to miss Clear. “Clear?” Killian’s brows furrowed. “Yes, Clear. That is my sister’s name. What do you want with her?” “Where is she?”

“Yeah, she killed someone and Miss Quinn is currently helping her clean up the mess.” “Fuck,” He grumbled. “Clean it up and get her to her unit. Make sure that she won’t be able to leave the residence.” “Yes, sir.” She sat up upon realizing that she heard half of it. “Your sister killed someone?” She asked. “Uh, she did. One of the lurkers who was spying on your unit.” She froze. “But, hey. She just has some attitude.” He crawled to her and kissed her forehead. “You are safe.”

Jack soothed. "Fuck civility, it's my sister we're talking about. This bitch killed my sister and you're telling me to act civil?" Loki asked, unable to keep his anger on a tight leash. Kieran was begging to be unleashed to take over and finish Lyra off but he stopped himself because he was no savage.

I am done with being treated like a little girl. "YOU KILLED MY SISTER!"

"Oh, for God's sake. Do you have any idea what kind of week I've had? Evan's graduation dinner is at the end of the month. If you pull one more stunt, I swear to God, I'll kill you myself." Then the line went dead. The warehouse fell quiet in the ugliest way. Lucas patted my face twice, almost fond. "Well. That's embarrassing." Evan slid the phone back into his pocket. "Told you. She'd rather lose him than inconvenience me." I didn't cry. I think I had gone too far past heartbreak by then. All that was left was the hollow sound of the last hope in me giving way. Lucas caught my chin. "Your sister wants you gone? We can do that."
