Thanking Kesha, the brunette grabbed the Night Raven from its sheath and stepped into the resulting passage. The corridor was dark and cold. William stumbled, smelling the stagnant smell of blood that crowded out any other smells. Swallowing hard, the adviser frowned and walked forward, trying to get his bearings in the string of unfamiliar corridors. The pages spilled out; several handwritten documents and black and white photographs of dying/dead figures; some of whom looked practically decomposed. I swallowed the bile that rose in my throat and closed my eyes. “Hence my concern Leda. These victims do not die quickly – it's horrific.” He quietly flicked the file closed. “Are there different levels of vampire then?” “What do you mean?” “You said those like the grey guy-”

Alaric said with a smile, and before Daniel could understand what he meant, he broke Daniel's neck and ripped it apart from his body, burning his body with the lighter that he had in his pocket. Alaric sighed in relief when he realized that all the four vampires who came here to kidnap Liara were now dead. One was killed by Liara's bite because a werewolf's bite was like poison to vampires; in the same way, a vampire's bite was no less than venom for werewolves. The second was killed by him, and the other two were taken care of by someone else. He then looked at the scene, which had shocked Daniel.
