When he tries to get up, I kick him in the face. I hear someone coming from behind. Spinning around, I block a punch. This one is fast, but I’m strong. I grab his arm, and he grunts. His eyes widen as I twist him around, and he’s defenseless as I throw him into the pool. Water splashes, the ice blue water turning brown, and the man yells. “It burns,” he cries. “It burns!” So I was right to not get into the water. Thank God. The crack of a whip soars through the air, and I duck it. A Silver Hunter with long blonde hair peeking out from her helmet advances on me.

"Do you mean using this flashy power that came out of me and killed the wolf? If you do, then I need to remind you that what happened was an accident, one I have no idea how to repeat." His smile widened, reminding me of the Cheshire Cat. "Oh, I'm not going to force you to summon a bolt of lightning, especially since you might damage Hunter beyond his regeneration skills." "What?!" I snapped. A second later, Hunter walked out of the locker room, dressed in sweatpants and a tank top. I watched him join us on the mats, and my heart started to race. I glared at Calvel. "Are you freaking nuts?! I told you that I cannot control this—whatever it is! What if I hurt Hunter?!"

Re-energized by his direct critique, I locked my frame back into the firing harness and executed the sequence a second time, the plasma beam punching a perfectly concentrated hole through the center of the blast shield. "The output is stabilizing!" I shouted, a rare flash of genuine elation breaking through my frozen exterior. My natural aptitude for high-yield ballistic weaponry was undeniable, mirroring the raw tactical genius of an old warlord Malik had served during the winter purge. For a split second, the reflection of that dead soldier in my stance left the old doctor momentarily paralyzed.

He looked through his thermal scope. He saw a "Shadow-Weaver Sorcerer" in the back ranks, charging a massive fireball. Ren calmed his breathing. Bang. Headshot. The Sorcerer evaporated before he could cast. "Wave 1 clear!" the announcer boomed, the voice echoing like a god. "Wave 2 incoming! Prepare defenses!"

I pity your parents for raising you to be the arrogant prick in front of the enemy.” The magic missiles went off once again. Three at that. However, it didn’t intimidate her at all. Instead, her heart was pumping blood at an excessive level. And adrenaline rush. Her urge to kill arose. “You guys are cute,” Were her last words before they precisely hit Shadow.

Marshall swung his shotgun toward the intruders, his hands steady despite the adrenaline coursing through him. Axel stepped through the smoke-filled doorway, his figure tall and imposing, with Akam following close behind, his fiery form illuminating the room. “You bastard,” Marshall spat, his voice low and venomous. “I’ve been waiting for this moment.” He didn’t wait for a response. Marshall pulled the trigger, the shotgun roaring as it unleashed a shell packed with silver and wolfbane. Akam stepped in front of Axel, his massive hand snapping up to intercept the projectile. The bullet struck his molten palm, melting instantly. Akam’s grin widened, and his fiery gaze locked on Marshall.

At all costs. My life no longer mattered. Shelliot knew that. She knew what the consequences were and she didn't care. Her love was great enough to be sacrificed. The pain of her surrender shook us. *Kill them all,* I order. A super soldier storms me, but a sniper hits him with a dart right in the eye. I watch him dissolve like a bad dream. Kahn rips two apart, unstoppable. I get my hands on one - he tries to dodge my attack, but I’m on top of him, my teeth around his neck. Mara’s magic retreats. She falls to her knees, and slumps over. My mate’s sacrifice sparks hope. Reyes rallies his troops. “Hit ‘em now, full barrage!”

Marvel asked, with a sudden look of interest. "Of course, Delight is a werewolf. But, she was shot by a silver bullet in her belly. She almost died, it's a miracle she is alive right now." Sassy explained and Marvel opened her mouth in an O shape. "Wow, I didn't know that. So, this silver bullet slows down the healing process, am I right?" She asked and Sassy nodded. "Exactly." She said. "But, coming back to you. You look pretty strong now, I'm sure you can resume work now. I really need all of you. You guys are already a part of my business." Marvel said, with a pleading gaze.
