Camille gasped, her tone indicating great challenge. “If you think kidnapping me is going to destroy Julian, you don’t know what you’re dealing with.” Zane smirked slowly, tilting his head. “You’d be surprised what people will do if the one thing they care about is threatened.” Camille’s jaw clenched, her demeanor perfect. She bites her lower lip— white teeth sinking into red flesh— then turns, smiling at the bartender. "Whisky please. Rocks." Her gaze returns to me, and she raises her eyebrows. "Make that two," I say, not leaving her gaze. A minute later he places the drinks in front of us, her hand immediately reaching out to bring it to her lips. "Katherine," she says after taking a slow sip, "but my friends call me Kat." "Adam, but everyone calls me Emilio." "I think I'll stick with Adam," she replies haughtily, daring me to tell her otherwise. I lean in closer to her, trailing her body with my eyes again. I can't stop looking at her legs. She notices, and again raises an eyebrow.

As for me,I saw a chance to take my revenge.” Hector announces and my jaw drops.

Noelle was all I'd got, and I couldn't afford to lose her. His men pulled Camilla out of the cellroom as they lifted her into their arms, while Cassian stepped back from Noelle, who was already affected by his harsh grip. "You did this, Damon?" he turned to me with a growl. "You need an apology? You will not get it. You've released Camilla, and then again, you've almost caused the death of the Luna of this pack. What more do you want?" I said to his face as he watched me with disappointment and surprise in his eyes.

“In less than two weeks, my life is going to be over. You've taken everything I have. Money, shelter, source of living, Kim. So basically, I have nothing to lose. Then, the leather chair spun around slowly on its brass base. Camille was sitting right in the center of the frame. She was no longer standing at the municipal podium surrounded by reporters. She was entirely alone in Victor's inner sanctuary, holding a sleek black burner phone in her right hand. She leaned forward, staring directly into the hidden camera lens as if she could see both of us standing in our remote apartment miles away. A slow, cold smile spread across her polished face, completely devoid of the tears she had shown the media just minutes prior. She lifted the burner phone toward her lips, and her voice came through our desktop speakers with perfect, crystal-clear clarity.
