“Perfect. Thank you, Kai.” “Now, where do I go to start my training?” He asked excitedly. “It’s far from here. Have you ever heard of a place called the Underworld?” His eyes widened. “Yes, but how do I get there? Better yet, how did you come from there? Are you a demon?” He asked him. No fear seemed to come from him, just curiosity. “No, I am not a demon, Kai. I am Balthazar, the king of the Underworld.” I was expecting him to look at me in fear. I was sure he had heard the stories of me. But instead, he looked disappointed.

But he didn't let them go far before shooting them all, watching with pure indifference as they fell to the ground. He glanced back at me, staring at me for a while, not saying anything. So I spoke first. “Who… Who are you? What do you want with me?” I questioned, waiting for an answer but before he said anything, my eyes strayed, observing him. And then I saw something. A red glove in one hand, a handgun that had an insignia of a Serpent coiled around a sword, and ruby eyes. This man… He was… “You're Alden Black Lombardi, the king of the Underworld. What… What do you want with me?”

They moved deeper into the library until Pat stopped at a lone pedestal in the center of the room. Upon it sat a thick, dusty tome bound in what looked like pale, cracked leather. The cover bore no title—just a symbol: a blazing fire crowned by three horns, with jagged lines splitting its base. Pat opened the book carefully. “Mad kings of the underworld” Jo leaned in, reading the strange, curling script etched in faded ink. She flipped to a brittle page near the middle and read through the passages. Jo squinted at the faded riddle, where she finally saw a mention of the name “Malrik.”

“The Book of Kings.” Azazel nods, “At first, we weren’t sure what we’d find. Because not only is it in Latin, but the scriptures are quite involved.” He scrolls through the book and opens it to a specific page. “Then we saw this, Pestifer Mundi, the destroyer of worlds. At first, it discusses the plagues, but as we continued to read, we found information about Lana.”

I approached the doorway and I used my blood to open the invisible doorway and drove through. The underworld is just like the supernatural and human world, with buildings and homes, everyone here is some part of a demon and others are mated to demons. There were schools, theme parks, theaters, fast food joints, casinos, demon churches and rituals, and restaurants. My biological father was a rich elite and lived in Demonwood, the human version of Hollywood, as his wife was a famous movie star. My father was one of the loyal advisors to the Demon King, considered to be his second in command, I arrived at the gate and his guards let me in as they knew who I was, although my father disowned me.
