It felt like the air conditioner had stopped working, the air growing heated.
"When did you sign the proposal?" I inquired, fixing my angry gaze on Mr Crown.
"Yesterday, sir." Mr. Crown replied.
"Yesterday!" I exclaimed, incredulous. "When did this company start accepting proposals in such a short time?"
"Boss, we can explain," Another one of my delegates, Mr. Vincent, said.
Rising to his feet, he began, "The proposal was too good to pass up. We couldn't risk losing it."
"I'll show it to you," He said, gesturing to the large presentation screen opposite me.
