I let out before I turn my back and walk away. Surprisingly, I don't find the idea disturbing. Feeling boredom as it sets in quickly, I make my way over to the bookshelf. I start to peruse the titles and am shocked at what I find. I see the House of Night Series, The Twilight Series, Forbidden Knowledge, Harry Potter Trilogy, and various books on Military Protocols all with black covers. The books are all in good condition too. Not interested in any of the military books I reach for the first book in the House of Night Series. As I take the book over to the couch to settle in, the door swings open.

Her posture was fierce, drawn to portray the much aura she carried. Lucious's breath settled at the nape of my neck. "Not in a good way, courtesy of Emrys." It did make sense to me why Lucious was the most affected when it came to matters involving Emrys. "And I am sure she would want you to have this." Lucious held a book in his hand. I took it with a frown. "Record of Blood and Conversion." I read the title. I blinked up at him. "What's this?" "I wrote it." Of course, he was a writer too. "Shortly after her death. I would like to thank all of you who stuck with me through this series of books, and even those of you who have only read this book (or just two of the three). It has taken me a year to work through all three books, but I was determined to do my best to end the series on a sweet note. He raised his wand in the air, clicking it on the ground with huge force, and before I could see anything, both of us were teleported in the middle of nowhere.

I felt even worse the following day. So bad, in fact, that Jeffrey was called back to check on me. “From what I can see,” he said to Killian as they stood on the opposite side of the room and in a voice that I doubted he’d expected me to hear, “you syphoned every drop of magic from her shine. She’s completely depleted.” “How can that be?” Killian asked with concern. “I projected it toward her. She should have gotten a goodly supply from me.”

The face was all scratched up, and anything on her body that could prove her identity was taken away, so we suspect it's an intentional murder. Hearing that the body was salvaged from Salakole, Winston paused for a moment, then he put on his sterile gloves with a poker face. I floated in mid-air, staring at the man in front of me. Three years... It had been three years since I died. After I died, my soul was trapped in Salakole, suffering in the fierce wind and freezing weather all day.
