The Woman in My Seat
Kirk extended his hand, covered in oozing sores, as though trying to touch my face through the screen.
A passerby kicked him away in disgust.
“Stay away from me, you disgusting hobo. I don’t want your disease!”
Kirk tumbled into a muddy puddle, dirty rainwater rushing down his throat.
He gasped for air as his life slipped away bit by bit.
Kirk mumbled into the shadows, “It’s clean now… Sandra, I’m wiped clean…”
He thought that by scrubbing his life clean, I would come back to him.
It slipped his mind that certain filth was engraved in his very core.
