“I… uh…” His expression didn’t shift, but I caught the faintest flicker of disappointment in those storm-grey eyes before he called on someone else. That look stung worse than his indifference ever did. The rest of the class I spent writing. Not lecture notes — I had already christened this notebook with a new title in flowing script across the top: ~ The Book of Forbidden Desires ~ Underneath, I kept going:

Good. “Names,” Viktor ordered. The first to step forward was a tall brunette with a scar across her cheek like she’d survived a bomb. She wore black cargo pants and combat boots like she meant business. “Kira,” she said in a flat voice. “Explosives. Don’t get in my fucking way.” I raised an eyebrow. “Try not to blow yourself up, and we’ll get along just fine.” She didn’t react. Ice cold. Next was a blonde with ceand ekbones sharp enough to cut glass and dark lipstick that screamed trouble. She looked like she enjoyed pain, mostly giving it.

But my hands aren’t clean anymore. Rubbing my eyelid, I glanced at the little notebook Nik gave me. He wanted me to write down a list,things I wanted to experience with him. Things that would “ruin” me. Funny thing is, Anastasia’s already ruined. Nothing can break her again. But Skye? That version of me,the sweet, lost girl she pretends to be? She could still be broken. She could still be… ruined. The pen moved slowly across the page. “Fall in love with me and let me kill you.”

I think I see a tear fall. I pull away from Charlotte to go get ready for school. But this girl still follows me into my room. I change in front of her, then we leave the room together.

I'll choose kissing her over pranks any day. We stop by Derrick and Camden's locker first and it's at the tip of my tongue to warn them about Rain's prank but I keep my mouth shut. If I'm going to sleep with her, I should start being nice to her. Should I recorded this and send to her as a gesture of good will? I chuckle to myself. Am I really ready to shove my friends under the bus for a chance at pussy? Who am I? Rain and a girl that's dating one of her stoner friends enter the hallway and they try to pretend they're not watching us. Rain's eyes don't meet mine. She's looking everywhere but at me. Glad to see I'm not the only one affected by the kiss.

I kissed him like I had wanted to kiss him every day since we said goodbye. I would have kissed him for forever, but a truck zoomed past, shaking the car and honking loudly. Dean and I were startled out of the kiss, noticing that sunlight was now filtering through the car windows. The rain had slowed from the torrential downpour back into a light mist. The sky was lighter and the thunder no longer made the ground shake. Our gray world of rain had dissolved, and we were back in the real world. Dean let go of my hand. "Dean, I-" I started, my hand touching my lips. I wanted to kiss him again, but now the world could see us.

This must be it! I widened my eyes and excitedly pulled out my hand which is now sprinkled with specks of dust and saw a shiny purple notebook with a small padlock. I lifted my other hand who was holding the small key and tried to brush the clouds of dust above the notebook before inserting the small key which perfectly fits in the lock and suddenly-- *click* The notebook opened. ~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~ A/N: Please bear with my story for a while.
