Melanie mirrored my actions, pulling out her phone. Awkwardly, we came to stand even closer to each other. As our tights were pressed, I could feel her warmth reaching my skin through our clothes. My heart was pounding in my chest faster than the beat of the song we were listening to. It wasn’t my first kiss, but it was my first with the same sex. Biting my lower lip, I checked her perfect face. She was wanted by many, but I was going to get a kiss from her tonight.

“Okay. Stop. This is stupid. Let’s just read books while I rest my feet.” He smiles and nods. He brings me towards the bookshelves and I get down. I choose a romance novel than I sit on the floor leaning to the bookshelves. I straighten my feet while I open the book. Cain rests his head on my shoulder and closes his eyes while I read. When I flip the book, a small and thin notebook falls out. I pick it up. The notebook is covered in glittery pink wrapper. “What’s this?” I ask. Cain opens his eyes. He touches the book then lifts his head.

Rain's POV. I turn to the next page of the book I've been reading since morning, huffing as I bask in the captivating scenes. Gosh, I've been waiting for so long for the main characters to share their first kiss. Now that it's about to happen, my interest piques and I settle deeper into the chair and cross my legs. Then I savor the words. His possessive words and touch. I don't know when I giggle so loud that the student beside me in the library curses and barks.

Candy only stared at him, her eyes urging to let out tears. He held her hand close and walked up to the rain, letting it wet both of them. Candy remembered her request... a kiss in the rain. He drew her face close and gently slammed his lips against hers. Candy's eyes closed instinctively as she responded to the gentle kiss in the rain. Kisa put the notebook to her chest and snapped, "This is not something you can read." As playful as Gilbert was, he could not help but become jealous upon hearing that. "I can't read it, but Jensen can?" Kisa frowned. "When did I say Jensen could read it? This is my mother's notebook. You can't look at it, and naturally Jensen can't either. It contains my mother's privacy, and I won't let any of you read it."

A tiny smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth. “You are unbelievable.” “So I’ve been told.” I rolled my eyes so hard they almost qualified as cardio. “Give it back.” “What do I get?” “My eternal gratitude.” “Boring.” “My notes?” “I can read those anyway.” “Kai.” “Wren.” “You’re impossible.” “And yet…” He finally placed the notebook into my waiting hand, letting his fingertips brush mine for the briefest second. Barely a touch. Hardly anything. Yet my pulse still skipped.

Room 218 was empty except for one thing: a child's desk. Pink. Plastic. The kind with a lift-top lid and a compartment inside for pencils and secrets. I sat on the small chair. Knees up. Ridiculous. But I didn't move to the floor. The desk was the point. The size was the point. Opened the lid. Inside: a notebook. Spiral-bound. Hello Kitty on the cover. Faded. Taped at the corners where it had torn.

Then, without warning, Liam leaned in and pressed his lips softly against hers. Alina’s breath vanished. Her entire body melted into the kiss. He scooped me off, as he carried me outside. It was beginning to rain. I jumped off from his grip the moment the rain water touched me. It was freezing, and in no time, I was beginning to get wet. Under the illuminating light, we locked eyes together. I felt a shudder pass through me. It was exhilarating to do this. A kiss in the rain. Ryan tugged my arm forward, water droplets dripping down his face. He tilted his head, as he took in my lips. His lips moved on mine, as I rested my hands on his chest. The kiss was sweet, soft, and passionate.
