The two turned their heads to see who it was and Alesteria almost paled when she saw Ich, smiling at them with his golden eyes dark, staring at Klaus. "I think you should let her go." Ich said so coldly that Alesteria thought it was winter. Klaus glared back, his senses alerting him suddenly as he felt that this man is not ordinary. Even though he is a kid, Klaus felt a huge amount of mana coming from him as he glared back at him. "And who are you?" Ich almost chuckled at Klaus' hostile tone as he turned to Alesteria, who swallowed unknowingly at Ich's cold gaze.

It was Klaus. He stood in the darkness, trembling with uncontrolled anger, looking like he was ready to kill.

Recognition crashed into me like a storm. The man from the tunnel Klaus. He stepped closer, boots silent on the bloody tiles. “There you are.” My stomach dropped. “I’ve been looking for you.”

Particularly Klaus who was busy snapping at someone. A half shifted man was sprawled out on the floor. A man I recognised, that would come and beat me regularly, a man who liked to use the metal of his belt as his form of torture. I didn’t know his name, but I had never forgotten his face. “He wandered in.” Klaus mutters. “Trying to claim he was a human and had lost his way. As you can see, he was killed mid shift.” I couldn’t take my eyes off of him. Someone had torn out his throat. And I could think of nothing else, but to wish that it had been me that had killed him.

The best bet was to go Maximo, but the cursed bastard doesn’t take kindly to losers. We were just about to go over the pack borders when I saw them. It was a blur at first, and I had to double back to make sure I was not dreaming. I instantly morphed back into a human so I could sneak up on them. Kyle and the others did the same. “That’s Klaus,” Kyle whispered, “this is a golden opportunity. He’s alone and vulnerable.” Klaus was hunched to the ground, his frame covering another human figure on the ground. “Alpha?” Kyle pressed.
