I waited. But nothing happened. After a few seconds, I peered my eyes open to find Klaus staring at me with a curious, almost amused expression. "This is my house, doll," he said, his voice low and rough. "I can be anywhere I want." My face heated up, but I refused to let him see how flustered I was. "Don't call me that," I said, crossing my arms over my chest. He pulled his hand back, and I noticed he was holding a chocolate bar and a bottle of water. He'd just been reaching past me to grab them from the counter.

A man a similar age to Alpha Dane, steps out from a room, knocking over a stack of books and sends them crashing to the floor. His dark hair is tied up into a bun on top of his head. He peers at me with his deep green eyes. “You must be Neah. And you are right on time.” He smiles, sticking his hand out at me. “I’m Klaus, your tutor!” He beams at me, his hand still hovering in the air. His eyes flicker to the bright orange earbuds I had in my ears. “Ah, the memories.” ‘He’s safe.’ Alpha Danes' voice fills my head.

Asked an excited Arianna. She handed them the book that she had brought with her. Everyone looked at it with disbelief. "It looks like she's written this," said Hudson. "Where did you find this book?" Asked David Gray with interest. "Uncle David, this book has ranked as The New York Times Bestseller consecutively for the last few months," said Arianna. Everyone was stunned to hear that the little Isabella who had run away from home was a best-selling author of the country! "How do we contact her for an autograph?" Asked Weston at last, looking proud of his Isabella. Arianna smiled and took out her phone.

“Come on. I’ll take you upstairs to rest.” He stood and guided her toward the stairs. Finn and Calvin exchanged a look. Then they followed right after them. God, I wanted to go eavesdrop so badly. Linda, sitting beside me, muttered under her breath, “Slutty bitch.” That jogged my memory. There was a drugging subplot around this part of the story. If I remembered correctly, Linda was the culprit. She had been secretly in love with Calvin for years, but Calvin only had eyes for Nancy. In the original novel, she managed to drug him, but afterward he turned the tables and dosed her ten times worse, leaving her stranded with no help. She ended up with a terrible fate.

Klaus hurled the glass against the wooden wall of the office. Everything he had believed in, everything he had stood for…he was sickened by his own actions, had he really planned to get rid of Anika? Was he really planning to make a tortured woman suffer? He closed his eyes and dropped to his knees in front of the door, but his brain still couldn't understand how everything fit with the diamonds, maybe it wasn't even important, the guilt of having decided to take revenge on an innocent woman turned his stomach, but did it really matter? He wasn't a saint, he'd killed, he'd tortured, but… even he had a pretty clear moral line when it came to women and children.

Klaus shouldn't have been someone special to me. But now, it was too late to escape. "Ugh... Klaus..." I cried out his name, pleading for mercy from my tormentor, but the fire in Klaus's eyes only burned brighter. His breath enveloped me, scorching me, leaving me trapped in a fiery hell. "Eat it." Klaus's voice was low and gravelly, not looking at me as he instructed. His member appeared before me, terrifying in its size. I looked at Klaus with fear, but in the darkness, he resembled a devil.

Klaus was seated on amongst the high twelve, because he was the head of the table. By his right hand was Markus Dane, his best friend and brother, as it ought to be. In the dark field, under the blood red moon that settled in the sky that rested above all their heads, Klaus's ears paid attention to the eerie whistling of the wings of the night, and the rustling of the trees, the sound of gossip amongst plants. He was not supposed to keep his ears on the plants and birds, but he would rather do that than listen to the gibberish that was being melted out by members of the lower twelve that were seated around their round table.
